India. China. Vietnam. Trinidad & Tobago. Singapore. The United States.

Reading off that list of countries in one paragraph would immediately bring to mind a UN General Assembly Conference.

But these represent but a handful of the countries where the fine, Goodyear and Hand-Welted shoes on display at the 3rd Annual NY Super Trunk Show last October were crafted.

With brands such as BlckBrd Shoemakers and Bridlen (based in India), Cru Nonpareil (based in Trinidad & Tobago), Cnes (based in Singapore), Caswell & Co., and many others, the NY Super Trunk Show - as well as the global Trunk Shows under the same moniker - has in recent years been known as THE venue where various shoe brands from all over the world, in addition to those enthusiasts who are truly “In the Know” about the best men’s Goodyear and Hand Welted shoes on the market, come together in Midtown Manhattan.

Not only did the Show bring together the best shoemakers in the world, it also featured competitions wherein professionals in other parts of the men’s footwear community could test their mettle and show off their skills: Specifically the U.S. Championships of Patina making and Shoe shining.

The amount of skill, dedication, and raw talent required to prevail in both of the aforementioned Championships would convince one that they should be officially recognized as Olympic Sports! (And if that does end up happening, you read it here first!)

One aspect of the Show that was new this year was a shoe card session hosted by Preston Soto of “The Elegant Oxford” (IG: @theelegantoxford) where he provided an overview on proper suede care, repairing a mirror gloss shine, and how to remove salt stains.

It was all in all another successful Trunk Show. The 2026 Edition should take things to even greater heights!
