So, you know You are.
Tiff [00:01:40]:
Wanted to make sure that I, Completely understand that word.

Tiff [00:01:54]:
So what's happening these days in 2020 reg?
Reginald Ferguson [00:01:56]:
Did you
Tiff [00:01:57]:
ring in the New Year in a, in a very Stylish fashion.
Reginald Ferguson [00:02:01]:
It was it was, a quiet fashion with family. So a lot of things have happened since then, and I'm I'm blessed to be here, in the words of my aunt, on the other side of Jordan. So doing a lot of good things, working on a lot of stuff to be candid. So I remember
Tiff [00:02:21]:
one last podcast or 2 talking about new things that you were gonna be, Bringing into the new year.
Reginald Ferguson [00:02:28]:
Yeah. Absolutely. So
Tiff [00:02:29]:
marketing.
Reginald Ferguson [00:02:30]:
Definitely more marketing. It's funny you say that. Yesterday, I was with my Branding coach, my brand coach. Again, Mary Tam from Score.
Tiff [00:02:38]:
Good for you.
Reginald Ferguson [00:02:38]:
So yeah. Yep. So It's my 2nd time with her, and every time I learn something more, she claims to learn something too.
Tiff [00:02:48]:
Oh, that's good.
Reginald Ferguson [00:02:49]:
Yeah. But it was funny. She had a she had a counselor, shadowing her that's new into the program. Okay. And, they're essentially contemporaries in there. She was like, yeah. He's he's taught me a lot. He he taught me what it means to be fly.
Tiff [00:03:03]:
Well, that's what we're supposed to be doing. Right?
Reginald Ferguson [00:03:05]:
I know that, but I was just You did
Tiff [00:03:06]:
it outside Got a podcast time.
Reginald Ferguson [00:03:08]:
I was just yeah. I was just dying laughing though because the other guy was, like, writing it down. Oh. Bfly? I was like, it's really just fly. Because the the branding coach was really knocking me going. That's just very narrow cast.
Tiff [00:03:22]:
Always be fly?
Reginald Ferguson [00:03:24]:
I don't
Tiff [00:03:24]:
think so.
Reginald Ferguson [00:03:25]:
Yeah. Yeah. No. It is. I just laughed because both
Tiff [00:03:27]:
of them descriptive.
Reginald Ferguson [00:03:28]:
Both of them could be, like, as old as my aunt. So Okay. I was like I was like, guys, I'm not trying to mess with you, but, there's a reason maybe you don't get this.
Speaker C [00:03:41]:
So
Tiff [00:03:41]:
Well, little being little long in the tooth sometimes.
Reginald Ferguson [00:03:44]:
It's gonna happen to us all.
Tiff [00:03:46]:
Yep. Slowly making our way there.
Reginald Ferguson [00:03:48]:
I'm entering the second half.
Tiff [00:03:52]:
I'm already in it. It's okay. You you can still have Well, besides that, anything else? I I turned the new year at the TWA Hotel. Woah. Yeah. They had a, At a party. It taking it back to 1962.
Reginald Ferguson [00:04:09]:
Holy cow.
Tiff [00:04:09]:
And they encouraged that you dress the part.
Reginald Ferguson [00:04:12]:
Really? I shoulda got my chef's apron.
Speaker C [00:04:17]:
Oh. Thank you, sir. Wow.
Reginald Ferguson [00:04:20]:
Taking it back.
Tiff [00:04:21]:
Okay. That is that is taking it back.
Reginald Ferguson [00:04:25]:
Absolutely.
Tiff [00:04:26]:
Well, I wore a dress, a beaded dress with a little bolero jacket. Woah. But the The most exciting part was I went to the hairdressers, my husband's hairdresser, who's been in business for about 30, 40 years on Ditmars. Right. And I took her a picture of a 1962, bouffant hairdo, and I said, can you do this? And she goes, yep. And she did it. I had a big old bouffant. It was amazing.
Reginald Ferguson [00:04:55]:
Really?
Tiff [00:04:55]:
Yes.
Reginald Ferguson [00:04:56]:
Do you have mad photos of this?
Tiff [00:04:58]:
I do have photos.
Reginald Ferguson [00:04:59]:
I did
Tiff [00:04:59]:
a photo. And I had white go go boots too.
Reginald Ferguson [00:05:01]:
Oh, that's hot.
Tiff [00:05:02]:
Yeah. Although someone at the party informed me that, well, that's really not 1962. That's a little later. And I was like Oh.
Reginald Ferguson [00:05:10]:
Retro hater.
Tiff [00:05:11]:
I'm like, go get a drink, lady. Stay off my gear here.
Reginald Ferguson [00:05:15]:
Get a old fashioned.
Tiff [00:05:16]:
We found a nice little lounge coat for Michael at my favorite store, Macy's. Oh. Dude, listen to this. Oh. It was a $350 jacket. Yes. It was on sale for $99.
Reginald Ferguson [00:05:29]:
That's a good deal.
Tiff [00:05:30]:
It was like a tuxedo coat, black satin shawl collar, and then it was a red and, Well, it's like a wine red and black kind of damp stripe thing. Once I got to the register, I had star money. So it and I had, used my credit card, got me an additional 20% off. Oh. That coat ended up only costing
Reginald Ferguson [00:05:50]:
$7.
Tiff [00:05:51]:
$60.
Reginald Ferguson [00:05:52]:
Can you believe that? No. That's excellent.
Tiff [00:05:55]:
With my star money I tell you, Macy's, you go there and you shop, and they could just keep giving you money to shop more. Brilliant.
Reginald Ferguson [00:06:01]:
Because they need you.
Tiff [00:06:03]:
Yes. And, well, as long as I'm needed, I will be there for them.
Reginald Ferguson [00:06:06]:
That's, that's good. Of course, I'm not offended that, again, You, have used your husband who should be my client.
Tiff [00:06:15]:
Why? He's got me. I'm fashion
Speaker C [00:06:17]:
Oh, okay.
Reginald Ferguson [00:06:18]:
I I thought allegedly for our listeners in the beginning of our episodes that I thought that he wasn't gonna become my client.
Tiff [00:06:25]:
Well,
Reginald Ferguson [00:06:26]:
Yeah.
Tiff [00:06:27]:
I've gained some knowledge working with you. So
Reginald Ferguson [00:06:29]:
Wow. Wow.
Tiff [00:06:30]:
I'm trying it out.
Reginald Ferguson [00:06:31]:
What a turnaround. Yes. That's oh, I see what you do there.
Tiff [00:06:34]:
I'm learning Yeah.
Speaker C [00:06:35]:
Oh. You're teaching me things too.
Reginald Ferguson [00:06:37]:
Yeah. Right. Yuck. Yuck.
Tiff [00:06:42]:
Okay.
Reginald Ferguson [00:06:43]:
Well, I will yes. Moving on. Well, I will tell you this. By the time this airs, it would already have happened or, actually, it will still be in the transition of it. I'm gonna be attending CTDA again.
Tiff [00:06:55]:

Reginald Ferguson [00:06:56]:

Reginald Ferguson [00:07:46]:
Right? Absolutely. We we start from closet inventory and go all the way down to personal shopping. That's fine. Yeah. It is. A matter of fact, it's funny that you talk about the closet stuff because if If you become a client and we take your stuff, we give it to the Bowery Mission
Tiff [00:08:00]:
There we go.
Reginald Ferguson [00:08:01]:
Which is where I happen to be last weekend for my clothing.
Tiff [00:08:04]:
Oh, so you did a little Closet purge for the new year. I'm known. Alright.
Reginald Ferguson [00:08:08]:
So I I yeah. So, 2 big bags.
Tiff [00:08:12]:
Wow. That's a lot.
Reginald Ferguson [00:08:13]:
Big Hey. Big shout out to Chuck at the Bowery Mission. He gave me a hard time. I gave him a call. And I was like, as I always do, I give a call. I introduce myself, and I go, I'm about to drop this off. That's So he was like, we're only taking kid sizes size. He was messing with I was like, what? He's like, I got you, buddy.
Reginald Ferguson [00:08:33]:
I got you. So when I came in, I was like, yeah. Because he was dealing with 2 other clients.
Tiff [00:08:39]:
Right.
Reginald Ferguson [00:08:40]:
He said, yeah. I get that guy a hard time. I was like, size 14 of a child. Like, what?
Tiff [00:08:46]:
Yeah. I
Reginald Ferguson [00:08:47]:
have no idea what
Tiff [00:08:47]:
it is. You.
Reginald Ferguson [00:08:48]:
I have men's clothing.
Tiff [00:08:49]:
Yes. Because you're a man. You're the man.
Reginald Ferguson [00:08:52]:
I am but a man.
Tiff [00:08:55]:
Yes. Anyhoo.
Reginald Ferguson [00:08:57]:
Yes.
Tiff [00:08:58]:
What we gonna talk about now?
Reginald Ferguson [00:09:00]:
Whatever you'd like to talk about, Tiff.
Tiff [00:09:02]:
Well, seen as, this is a common subject in All of our podcasts in the world. Let's talk about sneakers.
Reginald Ferguson [00:09:09]:
Oh, yes. Why not? Said the said the said the nonsense
Tiff [00:09:15]:
talking about sneakers.
Reginald Ferguson [00:09:16]:
Are we really?
Tiff [00:09:17]:
Yeah. I mean, it really is often.
Reginald Ferguson [00:09:20]:
I think our producer would've told us if we were too heavy on the topic.
Tiff [00:09:23]:
I mean, seriously. Really. And it's funny coming from the fashion geek because you I never see you wearing sneakers.
Reginald Ferguson [00:09:31]:
Because usually no one ever sees me adorned with kicks.
Tiff [00:09:35]:
Nope.
Reginald Ferguson [00:09:35]:
However, I confess, I have 13 pair.
Tiff [00:09:40]:
Yep.
Reginald Ferguson [00:09:40]:
I don't know how it happened, but I'm not a sneakerhead. I'm really not.
Tiff [00:09:44]:
Because you don't have enough sneakers.
Reginald Ferguson [00:09:47]:
Well, with 13 13, I have enough.
Tiff [00:09:50]:
We talked about that the last time about having enough sneakers. I think it was, like, 20. You have 20 in 1st year
Reginald Ferguson [00:09:55]:
to be to be considered a sneakerhead. Matter Fact, I will I wanna sneak someone in here who I have a feeling has no sneakers.
Tiff [00:10:04]:
Oh, really?
Reginald Ferguson [00:10:05]:
Yeah. So there's a guy to the left of me. Why don't you get your mic set up? Hello. Hello, sir. Do you have any sneakers in your possession?
Speaker C [00:10:14]:
Just one pair. They're Exclusively for school.
Reginald Ferguson [00:10:17]:
What?
Tiff [00:10:18]:
I only have 1 pair of sneakers.
Reginald Ferguson [00:10:20]:
One pair of sneakers. See? He's Exclusively for the gym.
Tiff [00:10:24]:
And that's it.
Reginald Ferguson [00:10:26]:
How old are you?
Speaker C [00:10:26]:
I am 17.
Reginald Ferguson [00:10:27]:
This is this is a damn shame.
Tiff [00:10:30]:
Well well, We'll have
Reginald Ferguson [00:10:32]:
This is this is hurting my heart.
Tiff [00:10:34]:
We're gonna hear why later.
Reginald Ferguson [00:10:36]:
There's gonna be no legitimate reason.
Tiff [00:10:38]:
Oh, there's gonna be a legitimate reason.
Speaker C [00:10:39]:
Oh, no. There will
Reginald Ferguson [00:10:41]:
No. No. No. No. See, she she is on your side. Why? You're gonna be giving a hard time. Alright. So let's let's continue to talk about sneakers amongst ourselves because the 1 I mean, the 1 sneaker person, I don't know, you know, what he could weigh in except going, What is a sneaker? So what what what what do you got, Tiff? Since we always talk about sneakers.
Tiff [00:11:06]:
Well, there's this, This, article that came out, recently, as they often do about, the biggest sneaker of 2020. Which is We're already calling the biggest sneaker of 2020. We're just now into 2020.
Reginald Ferguson [00:11:20]:
Hey. You gotta start soon.
Tiff [00:11:22]:
Which is the Nike Dunk.
Reginald Ferguson [00:11:24]:
The Dunks.
Tiff [00:11:26]:
The Dunks.
Reginald Ferguson [00:11:27]:
Oh my god. I love Dunks.
Tiff [00:11:29]:
Which are, of course, throwbacks.
Reginald Ferguson [00:11:30]:
Yes. That's why I love them because that was my era.
Tiff [00:11:33]:
Oh, what's old is new.
Reginald Ferguson [00:11:35]:
What's old is what's new again.
Tiff [00:11:36]:
It just seems like that constantly is happening these days.
Reginald Ferguson [00:11:39]:
The guest to the left with 1 pair. Do you know what Nike Dunks are?
Speaker C [00:11:41]:
No. They were born before you. Wow. Wow. Most of my wardrobe is older than me.
Reginald Ferguson [00:11:48]:
Yeah. Wow. Wow.
Tiff [00:11:50]:
Okay. Amazing. I cannot Cannot wait till we start talking to
Reginald Ferguson [00:11:53]:
you. No. No. No. No. No. I'm looking way over the shoulder because our guest came with a chaperone, and I'm gonna give him the eye. Though he has sunglasses on, I know he remembers Nike Dunks if he just gives a nod.
Tiff [00:12:05]:
You remember Nike Dunks?
Reginald Ferguson [00:12:06]:
Thank you. Oh my god. There is a god.
Tiff [00:12:08]:
I don't remember Nike Dunks.
Reginald Ferguson [00:12:10]:
Well, I had a pair of Nike Dunks. So for them to come back, couldn't be more excited. I will not cop a new pair, but I had, I had the Kentuckys.
Tiff [00:12:20]:
Oh, okay. So the Nike Dunks, so you had the the ones that were made for the schools.
Reginald Ferguson [00:12:25]:
Yeah. The color. Raw blue and white.
Tiff [00:12:28]:
Nice.
Reginald Ferguson [00:12:29]:
Yeah. So Kenny Skywalker I mean, that was the whole Kentucky wildcat squad, but Kenny Skywalker, if any Nick fan. So Yeah. When they came out yeah. The whole thing with Nike Dunks is that they tied in with, NC double a.
Tiff [00:12:43]:
Right. Which was, apparently, what I read Was just starting to get really huge, which was in 1985. That's the year I graduated from high school. And I can't believe that in the NCAA wasn't Bigger. Like, already big.
Reginald Ferguson [00:12:58]:
I mean, but it was I mean yeah. I mean, but growth is growth because it definitely it definitely was big at the time. First of all, you had the big east, which was an incredible division. So there was a stretch that almost there was, like, 2 or 3 years in a row that I think every, final 4 or the 8, there was a Big East team. So That collabo was just amazing, but I just I just like the colors. I mean, I think that's how it is with every kid. I like the colors. We're all blue and white.
Reginald Ferguson [00:13:30]:
I rocked her with gray baggies. I was in heaven.
Tiff [00:13:34]:
Well, they're coming back. Maybe you can rock them with great Oh,
Reginald Ferguson [00:13:36]:
I've been watch I know. I've been watching them. I mean, because you have to understand they've come back A few times. Right? So they started as a basketball sneaker. Love them. That's why I had them.
Tiff [00:13:46]:
They came out at the same time as, The Air Jordans?
Reginald Ferguson [00:13:51]:
They did come out around that era. Yeah. Absolutely.
Tiff [00:13:53]:
They weren't they didn't get all hyped up like the Air Jordans, though.
Reginald Ferguson [00:13:56]:
No. No. But to me, From from a New York City perspective and living with my grandparents at the time in the Bronx, I mean, it listen. Nike Nike is a hip hop brand, and the dunk was a hip hop shoe. And if you lived in the 5 boroughs, and then I think if you were black and brown, there wasn't 1 sneaker you rocked, obviously, that was a strong that was a strong contender back in the day. Unquestionable.
Tiff [00:14:20]:
I, I did some research.
Reginald Ferguson [00:14:22]:
Of course you did.
Tiff [00:14:23]:
And, because because, you know, 1985, I'm like, what? I was graduating from high school. What is
Reginald Ferguson [00:14:28]:
that? What? What? What?
Tiff [00:14:28]:
And I wanted to see, did you know There is a diamond supply company collabo with Nike Dunk
Reginald Ferguson [00:14:37]:
Yes.
Tiff [00:14:37]:
Called Tiffany.
Reginald Ferguson [00:14:39]:
Oh. Oh. What are you gonna do about that? Did you know that? Well, I'm I'm really learning it now. What are
Tiff [00:14:45]:
you Yeah.
Reginald Ferguson [00:14:46]:
What are you gonna do?
Tiff [00:14:47]:
So it's It's like Tiffany Blue. Oh. And they have the highs and the lows.
Reginald Ferguson [00:14:51]:
Robin Robin egg blue.
Tiff [00:14:54]:
Yeah. I I'm not gonna buy them because Why not? Because their resale market value, which is in the 1,000 of dollars. Can you believe that?
Reginald Ferguson [00:15:03]:
I can. I thought you were worth it. You should talk to Michael.
Tiff [00:15:06]:
I'm worth it, but when you ain't got no job, you can't afford sneakers like that. Right? But I did take a look at other dunks, and I did pick out a couple of my favorites.
Reginald Ferguson [00:15:15]:
So what do you have?
Speaker C [00:15:16]:
What do you know? Sure.
Tiff [00:15:18]:
One of them is a 2005 Nike Dunk SB Lowe, Staple, New York City Pigeon.
Reginald Ferguson [00:15:24]:
Yes. The Pigeon.
Tiff [00:15:24]:
Do you remember that?
Reginald Ferguson [00:15:25]:
I'm familiar yeah. I'm familiar with the Pigeon, but let but let's talk about that. So like I said, Dunks have really undergone at least 2 or 3 transformations. They started as a hoop shoe, particularly NCAA. Again, definitely a New York City shoe, very important. But then that SB, that's when that kinda got reinvented because that's that's the Nike Skateboard division.
Tiff [00:15:47]:
Right. That's when the skaters came in and designed a fatter Tongue, a little more padded tongue.
Reginald Ferguson [00:15:52]:
Oh.
Tiff [00:15:52]:
And then like an air pillow in the sock portion of the shoe to absorb a lot of the shock. So that's what that's what the s b is.
Reginald Ferguson [00:16:00]:
Understood. So that's, you know, that's a transformation. So
Tiff [00:16:04]:
That was Huge. Big difference because, you know, the tongue's used to be a piece of leather.
Reginald Ferguson [00:16:09]:
Yeah. I mean, but that tongue, if I recall from mine, it was nylon. It was white nylon. No. Wanna walk.
Tiff [00:16:14]:
It's definitely you could see it in the picture.
Reginald Ferguson [00:16:16]:
And I had white and blue fat laces.
Tiff [00:16:20]:
Did you have high or low?
Reginald Ferguson [00:16:21]:
I had low. Oh, okay. Actually, can I tell a story about that? I I can't I can't believe I almost forgot this.
Tiff [00:16:27]:
All day about this.
Reginald Ferguson [00:16:28]:
No. We can't. But I will tell you, I will tell you yeah. I can't believe I was gonna forget this. So I lived with my grandparents at that time up in the Bronx where the people were fresh. And my best friend from growing up, who I've mentioned on the podcast every once in a while, Daryl Walker. We got those Dunks came out at least when I got my dunks, not about when they came out. I got them in the summertime, and I convinced my best friend that the best decision we can make is get the same pair of sneakers.
Tiff [00:17:01]:
So you can matchy match.
Reginald Ferguson [00:17:03]:
Yes. I didn't think of it in that terminology, but I was like, we're best friends. We should get the same sneaker. So I convinced him because even then, I was a salesperson and got the royal blue and white, AKA the Kentuckys. He did too. If you ask me, that was the best summer in my life.
Tiff [00:17:24]:
Aw.
Reginald Ferguson [00:17:25]:
If you ask him, it was the worst summer of his life. Oh. He hated it because everyone will look at it as it go, twins. And I couldn't be more proud and
Tiff [00:17:37]:
Mercilessly, tease.
Reginald Ferguson [00:17:39]:
Kids well, kids are kids. Kids are cruel. So he hated that summer. I adored that summer. We never did that again.
Tiff [00:17:47]:
Okay. Good to hear.
Reginald Ferguson [00:17:50]:
Hey. Well, you know,
Tiff [00:17:51]:
just for There's only so far you can go matchy match. You know?
Reginald Ferguson [00:17:54]:
Hey. It was it was a good idea.
Tiff [00:17:56]:
After age 6 or 7, it's probably not recommended.
Reginald Ferguson [00:17:59]:
I don't regret it. It was cool.
Tiff [00:18:01]:
But anyway, Well, just to talking about these dunks coming back, the reason why they're coming back is someone we spoke about, a fashion hero of ours in the past.
Reginald Ferguson [00:18:08]:
Let me guess.
Tiff [00:18:10]:
Go ahead.
Reginald Ferguson [00:18:10]:
Off White.
Tiff [00:18:11]:
Virgil Abloh.
Reginald Ferguson [00:18:12]:
Yeah. The new joints.
Tiff [00:18:14]:
Yep. He's bringing them back, and he, his Do
Reginald Ferguson [00:18:18]:
you know who Virgil Abloh is? No. Oh, okay. You know what?
Tiff [00:18:22]:
We gotta we gotta take them tell them to to listen to our podcast about,
Reginald Ferguson [00:18:26]:
I need to hit them with a fashion book. You are really concerning me, sir.
Tiff [00:18:32]:
That's okay. He's 17. He's got plenty of time to learn.
Speaker C [00:18:35]:
I read Allen Flusser.
Reginald Ferguson [00:18:37]:
Yeah. I know who Alan Flusser is. You also you also should know who Virgil Abloh is.
Speaker C [00:18:43]:
Is that a streetwear guy?
Tiff [00:18:45]:
Yes.
Reginald Ferguson [00:18:46]:
He's a he's a he's a fashion designer, and, yes, streetwear is his forte.
Tiff [00:18:52]:
But he's also an artist. He does he's designed furniture for IKEA as well.
Speaker C [00:18:56]:
I'm not a furniture person, so
Reginald Ferguson [00:18:58]:
I wouldn't know. You're sitting in a chair. Yes. I
Tiff [00:19:01]:
am. Anyway, that's what, that's what we gotta keep an eye out and see if it's true that this will be the biggest sneaker of 2020. For me, it's a prediction.
Reginald Ferguson [00:19:12]:
But have you seen I mean, have you seen the Off White collab? Have you seen it?
Tiff [00:19:16]:
I have not seen the picture.
Reginald Ferguson [00:19:19]:
Well, if you know anything
Tiff [00:19:20]:
Read the description that the laces
Speaker C [00:19:22]:
have Yeah.
Reginald Ferguson [00:19:22]:
He has a big he has a big outside lace.
Tiff [00:19:26]:
And it says shoelaces, which is typical for his
Reginald Ferguson [00:19:28]:
brand. And it's kind of like on the hiker tip. And then, of course, he has the tag like he always does. Yep. But, I I mean, it's interesting. I mean, I'm not gonna do it because you brought up something that I think is really important to talk about, the resale market.
Tiff [00:19:41]:
Yeah.
Reginald Ferguson [00:19:42]:
Huge. It's crazy. So when StockX came out a few years ago, essentially, their whole point was to create a stock market for sneakers. That's essentially what they've done. So you had hinted at something in terms of values. Now I don't really roll with StockX. I like GOAT, and I would say they have similarities.
Tiff [00:20:04]:
O a t?
Reginald Ferguson [00:20:05]:
Yes. Greatest of all time. So So they have similarities, but I think they also have, marketable differences. So StockX, like I said, literally tries to operate as a stock market for for sneakers, for kicks. So this whole thing about capsule collections and resell value and scarcity, you know, really, one could argue to operate like the stock market. And that's why you're seeing kicks for G's, your your your Tiffany's.
Tiff [00:20:38]:
That yeah. But, oh, I found an even more expensive pair. The Nike Dunk SB Low Supreme Black Cement, $3,655, the lowest asking price on StockX. $3,655 for a pair of sneakers you're not even gonna wear. Well, I wouldn't wear them if I if I paid that much money for them.
Reginald Ferguson [00:20:59]:
A mere bag of shows.
Tiff [00:21:02]:
I don't know.
Reginald Ferguson [00:21:04]:
No. I hear you. I mean, you're talking about that
Tiff [00:21:06]:
old school Mercedes with that.
Reginald Ferguson [00:21:08]:
Oh, well, if it's a SL convertible.
Tiff [00:21:12]:
Yeah. Oh, I'm sorry. The the the resale price on StockX for the pigeons? Yes. $13,608.
Reginald Ferguson [00:21:23]:
I remember when those came out.
Tiff [00:21:25]:
Are you kidding me?
Reginald Ferguson [00:21:26]:
I should've bought a pair.
Tiff [00:21:27]:
For a pair of sneakers? $13,000?
Reginald Ferguson [00:21:29]:
I could pay
Tiff [00:21:30]:
why you and the the new Mercedes Benz.
Reginald Ferguson [00:21:33]:
No. No. No. But it could pay off some bills. Oh, I remember when they came out.
Tiff [00:21:38]:
Mm-mm. Shit. It's, we're we're gonna see. We'll see if it's, gonna come back and strong and and be the best sneaker. I like them. They they look like, They look like They were
Reginald Ferguson [00:21:47]:
they were cool. They were total cool. I love them, but
Tiff [00:21:51]:
Classic.
Reginald Ferguson [00:21:52]:
With the exception of the Cortez, I don't have an interest of revisiting kicks.
Tiff [00:21:57]:
Well So you rarely wear them.
Reginald Ferguson [00:21:59]:
That is true.
Tiff [00:22:01]:
Alright. So we're gonna move on to our next seg segment, which I'm very excited about.
Reginald Ferguson [00:22:05]:
Haven't done it in a while, but it's the first one for 2020. So what do you do?
Tiff [00:22:25]:
So what do you do?
Speaker C [00:22:27]:
I'm a high schooler.
Reginald Ferguson [00:22:29]:
What's your name? What is your name? Well, Well, let me talk about this segment. Let's Yes. Yes.
Tiff [00:22:34]:

Speaker C [00:22:55]:
Ivan Boncy.
Tiff [00:22:57]:
Boncy, b o n c y.
Speaker C [00:22:59]:
Yes.
Tiff [00:23:00]:
Ivan Bonci.
Speaker C [00:23:01]:
Mhmm. AKA sartorial teenager on Instagram. Thank you.
Tiff [00:23:05]:
And as he said before, he's Amir, 17 years old.
Reginald Ferguson [00:23:10]:
Yes.
Tiff [00:23:10]:
I think he's our youngest. Right?
Reginald Ferguson [00:23:12]:
He is our youngest guest.
Tiff [00:23:14]:
Joan Alvi was a little bit older.
Reginald Ferguson [00:23:15]:
Yes. He's a little bit older. But Yvonne and I have been talking for a while. We met at an event at the armory.
Tiff [00:23:23]:
Mhmm. Oh, okay. Okay. And And it's Yvonne, not Ivan.
Speaker C [00:23:27]:
No. It's it's Ivan.
Tiff [00:23:28]:
Oh, it's Ivan. Yeah.
Reginald Ferguson [00:23:30]:
Oh. It depends where you're from, Tiff.
Tiff [00:23:34]:
Oh, okay. Yeah. Well, I'm from the south, and we say Ivan.
Reginald Ferguson [00:23:39]:
I'm from New York City.
Speaker C [00:23:41]:
And you say Ivan. I say Yvonne. Way off.
Tiff [00:23:47]:
So you guys met at the armory.
Reginald Ferguson [00:23:48]:
Yeah. We met at the armory.
Tiff [00:23:49]:
Which is a clothier.
Reginald Ferguson [00:23:51]:
Yes. In Tribeca?
Tiff [00:23:52]:
Not the armed armory in the middle of midtown?
Reginald Ferguson [00:23:55]:
No. Okay. For which there are many locations throughout the 5 boroughs. Oh. This is not that.
Tiff [00:23:59]:
Okay.
Reginald Ferguson [00:24:00]:
So, yeah. We kicked it and, wanted him to come on the show. He's wanting to come on the show, and, fortunately, He was able to make it. I can't wait probably for different reasons than you, Tiff.
Tiff [00:24:15]:
Well, I have to say, he is, your protege. No. Yeah. You both are rocking some really nice duds today.
Reginald Ferguson [00:24:24]:
Thank you, but he is not my protege.
Tiff [00:24:26]:
Well, he seems like he could be. No. He's at let me just paint the picture here. We've got,
Reginald Ferguson [00:24:31]:
a I will repaint it, ladies and gentlemen. Bow tie.
Tiff [00:24:34]:
Love the bow tie.
Reginald Ferguson [00:24:35]:
Yeah. Bow tie is fly.
Tiff [00:24:36]:
And the tweed jack it's a throwback tweed too. That collar, there's something going on different with that notch up there. It's not a notch.
Speaker C [00:24:45]:
It's a throat latch.
Reginald Ferguson [00:24:46]:
It's a
Speaker C [00:24:46]:
throat latch. I flip it up, and then I close it in case it gets windy.
Tiff [00:24:49]:
You don't see those suits, Those, like, kinda jackets, these days very often. Not. What, what's the year on that? So you're a vintage dresser.
Speaker C [00:24:57]:
Yeah.
Tiff [00:24:57]:
Okay. That's what I thought.
Reginald Ferguson [00:24:58]:
He's from another time.
Tiff [00:25:00]:
Yes. But his looks are so contemporary. That's what definitely we're gonna talk about. So but you've got I love the pocket square. I don't know. You haven't listened to that episode, I'm sure, but I am a pocket square fanatic.
Reginald Ferguson [00:25:13]:
Mhmm.
Tiff [00:25:13]:
And I like that it's not matchy matchy with your bow tie. It's very complimentary. A white button down shirt with a nice brown, vest.
Speaker C [00:25:21]:
Yeah. Look
Tiff [00:25:21]:
great. I can't see your pants.
Speaker C [00:25:23]:
They're gray flannels. Gray flannel.
Tiff [00:25:24]:
Oh, the brown and the gray. I love that.
Reginald Ferguson [00:25:27]:
And then, even though you had to take them off to enter our studio,
Speaker C [00:25:31]:
they were, my shoes were dark brown suede, double monk straps.
Tiff [00:25:35]:
Double Yeah. Monk strap. Okay. What 17 year old wears double monk strap shoes?
Reginald Ferguson [00:25:41]:
That's my point. It's interesting on one side and makes no sense on the other.
Tiff [00:25:48]:
I think we've fallen back in time.
Reginald Ferguson [00:25:50]:
These from a different epic.
Tiff [00:25:53]:
So, tell us a little bit about yourself, Ivan.
Speaker C [00:25:56]:
Well, as I mentioned before, I'm a high schooler.
Tiff [00:25:59]:
Right.
Speaker C [00:26:00]:
Unfortunate
Tiff [00:26:01]:
What grade?
Speaker C [00:26:01]:
I'm 12th grade.
Tiff [00:26:02]:
Oh, so
Reginald Ferguson [00:26:02]:
you graduated. So you
Tiff [00:26:04]:
have to you're senior. You're you have to be fly. You're senior.
Speaker C [00:26:08]:
Yeah. But, unfortunately, my school has a uniform, so I can't really Oh. Dress.
Reginald Ferguson [00:26:12]:
He can't flex. Oh. So he's so happy to be here today. So it'd be good.
Tiff [00:26:17]:
This is how you dress in your off time?
Speaker C [00:26:19]:
Yeah. Pretty much every day.
Tiff [00:26:21]:
Oh my god. Okay. So
Reginald Ferguson [00:26:22]:
I was apothecary.
Tiff [00:26:23]:
I I have tons of questions tons of questions. When did this start?
Speaker C [00:26:29]:
Well, it all started back in late 2014 or early 2015. I Started watching the show called Doctor Who. And for the listeners who don't know what Doctor Who is, it's a show about, an alien called the doctor, and he flies around in a spaceship slash time machine called the Tardis, and he every episode, he pretty much saves the world from other aliens. And, the doctor is always very well dressed. I am he's been played by 14 actors now. Wow.
Reginald Ferguson [00:27:02]:
Yeah. Men and women. Yeah.
Tiff [00:27:03]:
The first one. Female Doctor Who.
Reginald Ferguson [00:27:05]:
Yeah. Cadet. Yep. Wow.
Speaker C [00:27:07]:
And, each doctor has their own style, But the doctor that the doctor style that I fell in love with was the 11th doctor style who wore a tweed jacket, A button down, a bow tie, jeans, and, boots. So I Jeans? Yeah. Jeans with a tweed jacket.
Tiff [00:27:25]:
Do you own jeans?
Speaker C [00:27:26]:
For school.
Tiff [00:27:28]:
Okay. One pair. One pair.
Reginald Ferguson [00:27:31]:
To go with these sneakers.
Tiff [00:27:32]:
Oh my gosh. One pair.
Reginald Ferguson [00:27:34]:
Only wears for physical activities.
Tiff [00:27:36]:
You are truly a unicorn.
Reginald Ferguson [00:27:38]:
Go ahead. An anachronism. Yeah. He's an anachronism. Go
Tiff [00:27:41]:
ahead.
Speaker C [00:27:42]:
So I wanted to recreate that outfit. So that's how I got into cosplay, which is pretty much recreating costumes from pop culture and all that.
Reginald Ferguson [00:27:50]:
I didn't know you were a cosplay guy.
Tiff [00:27:51]:
I didn't either.
Reginald Ferguson [00:27:52]:
Do you
Tiff [00:27:52]:
go to Comic Con and
Speaker C [00:27:54]:
No. I've never
Tiff [00:27:54]:
Oh, okay. You just enjoy
Reginald Ferguson [00:27:56]:
the concept. Yeah.
Tiff [00:27:57]:
Okay. Oh. But no. As a concept, do you you don't you don't cosplay? Well, I mean, I guess this can be considered cosplay.
Speaker C [00:28:05]:
I mean, I don't do it anymore. Okay. Now it's it's strictly style.
Reginald Ferguson [00:28:08]:
Kick the habit.
Speaker C [00:28:09]:
Yeah. So I I got into cosplay because I want to recreate the doctor's outfit. And because I'm a perfection perfectionist and Having the low budget that I had and still have, I needed to do as much research as possible into fabrics and suit cuts And buttons and all that jazz in order to create the perfect 11th doctor outfit within a tight budget.
Reginald Ferguson [00:28:36]:
Right.
Tiff [00:28:37]:
How much did you spend?
Speaker C [00:28:40]:
More than I should've.
Tiff [00:28:43]:
Just like all budgets.
Reginald Ferguson [00:28:44]:
May I may I ask you, have you grown out of that outfit yet, Yvonne?
Speaker C [00:28:48]:
I haven't grown as much as my family has predicted me to grow, But I was a larger person back then, and then I lost weight.
Reginald Ferguson [00:28:56]:
So
Speaker C [00:28:57]:
Oh. Sort of neutralizes.
Tiff [00:28:58]:
Wow. You got your growth spurt.
Reginald Ferguson [00:29:00]:
So still going to Groves, or I Keep telling you.
Tiff [00:29:04]:
Well, at least he's so you we No.
Reginald Ferguson [00:29:05]:
He doesn't wanna grow. He doesn't wanna grow. Why don't you explain this to the audience?
Speaker C [00:29:09]:
I don't wanna grow because I sort of had All of my clothes tailored to my current body.
Tiff [00:29:14]:
Stop. Boy.
Reginald Ferguson [00:29:16]:
Stop. Stop, kid. Stop.
Tiff [00:29:18]:
But he has to because he's this What what do you
Reginald Ferguson [00:29:20]:
He's 17. He's still going to grow. I keep telling him this.
Tiff [00:29:24]:
But he's That's how
Reginald Ferguson [00:29:24]:
it works.
Tiff [00:29:25]:
You're you you shop, secondhand.
Speaker C [00:29:27]:
Yeah.
Tiff [00:29:28]:
So that's smart. At least she didn't sink $1,000 into a suit and have it tailored down to your 17 year
Reginald Ferguson [00:29:34]:
old body. Lot of gear. Don't get it twisted. Did.
Tiff [00:29:38]:
How many suits do you have?
Speaker C [00:29:40]:
I haven't counted.
Reginald Ferguson [00:29:41]:
He hasn't counted. Oh my god. I didn't have 1 suit at 17. I I had a sport jacket and pants.
Speaker C [00:29:47]:
Suddenly over 20.
Reginald Ferguson [00:29:48]:
Over 20 at 17, ladies and gentlemen.
Tiff [00:29:51]:
I man, he's
Reginald Ferguson [00:29:51]:
a perfect guest. He's a sartorial freak.
Tiff [00:29:54]:
Yeah. Our perfect guest, Reg.
Reginald Ferguson [00:29:57]:
I don't know about that.
Tiff [00:29:58]:
I do.
Reginald Ferguson [00:29:59]:
He's an interesting guest.
Tiff [00:30:00]:
Yes. Yes. Okay. So, When you did your research for your Doctor Who, what what kind of of of course, you never have to go to an encyclopedia these days, so you you you search Google.
Reginald Ferguson [00:30:11]:
Even a store. You Google.
Tiff [00:30:13]:
Oh, yeah. You don't have the did you do all your research online?
Reginald Ferguson [00:30:15]:
Did you go into stores online? Go on. Pissed pause, Tiffany.
Tiff [00:30:20]:
I will. I No. He might be a throwback as a shopper as well. We don't know. No.
Speaker C [00:30:24]:
I actually did all my research online. Yes.
Tiff [00:30:26]:
So what was your main resource online? Did you have any one main resource for information?
Speaker C [00:30:32]:
There's this tailor called Steven Ricks, and, he he's a bespoke tailor, and he pretty much, if you upon request, he recreates the, the doctor's outfit and any of the doctor's outfits. So
Reginald Ferguson [00:30:46]:
Wow. 11th.
Tiff [00:30:47]:
Wow. So did he do yours, or did he just talk you through it?
Reginald Ferguson [00:30:51]:
He can't he can't he can't afford it.
Tiff [00:30:53]:
Oh, okay.
Reginald Ferguson [00:30:54]:
As well, you shouldn't because you haven't stopped growing.
Tiff [00:30:56]:
Yes. Yes. Yes. But I I have to say, I love the ambition. I love
Reginald Ferguson [00:31:01]:
Absolutely.
Tiff [00:31:02]:
I love the sense of style. And Beautiful. On Instagram, you are The sartorial teenager. And I looked at your Instagram from beginning to end, your very first photo, And I'm so glad you figured that out as quickly as you did. The very first photo
Reginald Ferguson [00:31:18]:
blushing.
Tiff [00:31:19]:
Yeah. It was a little awkward. But after that, I like how
Reginald Ferguson [00:31:22]:
Oh, he's he's 17. He's supposed to be awkward.
Tiff [00:31:25]:
And he's got a perfect style the way he does all of his photos because if you could compare, And I I did. I
Reginald Ferguson [00:31:31]:
Yeah. That's
Tiff [00:31:31]:
smart. Intentionally go, okay. Let me see when I see that jacket again. Just to see how you changed up your tie and your pocket square. And just like I said on our pocket square episode, you can absolutely totally change the look of your suit or your jacket, trouser separates Buy your bow tie or your tie Certainly. And your pocket square. You can make it look like a totally different outfit. And that's exactly what you did because I counted.
Tiff [00:31:57]:
Okay. Try to figure out how many you had.
Reginald Ferguson [00:32:01]:
Tiffany is the good cop of fashion. I'm the bad cop of fashion.
Tiff [00:32:04]:
Oh, dear.
Reginald Ferguson [00:32:05]:
So here's my question. How's it, how's it working socially with your classmates with this, pronouncement?
Speaker C [00:32:14]:
Pretty much the entire school knows that I Dress up, and they don't really have a problem with it. I guess they do sort of look at me when they when they see something a bit more odd. Like, Every month, we have a dress down day.
Reginald Ferguson [00:32:27]:
Oh my gosh. Yeah. Which is your dress up day. Pretty much.
Speaker C [00:32:31]:
And it it's a theme. It's a themed Dress Down Day.
Reginald Ferguson [00:32:33]:
It's like the bizarro world.
Speaker C [00:32:35]:
Yeah. So for January, it was, represent a college day, and I have a Cornell Blazer Navy I've
Reginald Ferguson [00:32:43]:
I've seen that. I'm like, what's going on there? From 90 With the Cornell Blazer.
Tiff [00:32:47]:
I saw it too.
Speaker C [00:32:48]:
I got it for a really good Price on eBay, $10.
Reginald Ferguson [00:32:50]:
Good for you.
Tiff [00:32:51]:
Oh, wow. You shop on eBay. Okay.
Speaker C [00:32:53]:
That is my main source. Yes.
Tiff [00:32:54]:
May well, that's what I was asking, what were your main resource was. That was the point of that question. So our listeners, You know, any 17 year old or even 16 year old who might have this Or
Reginald Ferguson [00:33:03]:
27 or 57 year old.
Tiff [00:33:05]:
Right. Right. Because I noticed, you have a link on your in the bio section.
Speaker C [00:33:10]:
Yeah. That's my eBay.
Tiff [00:33:12]:
That's your eBay. Yeah. So yours
Reginald Ferguson [00:33:13]:
That's his eBay store. When did you start that?
Speaker C [00:33:17]:
Well, okay. So the 1st item I listed was in July, and that was a navy double breasted blazer from Burberry, which is still up. And but I only put the link in my bio, like, a month or two ago.
Tiff [00:33:31]:
So you're selling those pieces? Yes. Okay. Alright.
Reginald Ferguson [00:33:35]:
Told you you need a little help with that marketing.
Speaker C [00:33:38]:
EBay charges you if you wanna sorta put your name out there more.
Reginald Ferguson [00:33:42]:
Well, I mean, what are you gonna do? You're gonna you're gonna do it, or you're not gonna do it? You just you just want the stuff to languish? Yeah.
Speaker C [00:33:49]:
Really? That's what I've been doing.
Tiff [00:33:50]:
Well, someone will find it.
Reginald Ferguson [00:33:51]:
To go.
Tiff [00:33:52]:
I mean, you found stuff on Ebay, so eventually someone else will find your stuff.
Speaker C [00:33:56]:
Definitely. Alright.
Reginald Ferguson [00:33:57]:
He just said he had a jacket on there since when? July. July.
Tiff [00:34:03]:
Well, the right buyer just hasn't come around.
Speaker C [00:34:05]:
There's also some really good stuff on there. There's a silk hunting top hat, size 7 a quarter.
Reginald Ferguson [00:34:11]:
Of course.
Tiff [00:34:12]:
Is that your size?
Reginald Ferguson [00:34:13]:
Yeah.
Tiff [00:34:14]:
Top hat?
Reginald Ferguson [00:34:14]:
Yeah. A top hat. He's 17.
Tiff [00:34:17]:
You know, you should get that.
Reginald Ferguson [00:34:18]:
Oh, he's gonna get he's gonna get it.
Tiff [00:34:19]:
And that's what you wear to your graduation.
Reginald Ferguson [00:34:21]:
Oh, he's gonna do it. So Trust me.
Speaker C [00:34:23]:
It's funny you say that because I have three Top hat.
Reginald Ferguson [00:34:27]:
Of course, he does.
Speaker C [00:34:28]:
All silk. All almost or at least a 100 years old.
Tiff [00:34:32]:
Oh, wow.
Speaker C [00:34:33]:
And I have so So my formal wear is
Tiff [00:34:35]:
Are they beaver?
Speaker C [00:34:37]:
Silk. Silk blush. So, my e my formal wear is my prized possession, and they're all from the 19 thirties. His formal wear.
Tiff [00:34:45]:
He's 17 30 so the kids, the trousers
Reginald Ferguson [00:34:48]:
He's 17.
Tiff [00:34:48]:
High waisted and pleated.
Speaker C [00:34:50]:
Yeah.
Tiff [00:34:51]:
And then you have it it's a 3 piece. Right? If it's from the 1930? Oh, no. No. No. It's, is it a cutaway?
Speaker C [00:34:56]:
So I I have a morning coat, which is the
Reginald Ferguson [00:34:59]:
Of course,
Tiff [00:34:59]:
he does. The Kinda Way.
Reginald Ferguson [00:35:00]:
Yeah. Here's a morning clip, ladies
Speaker C [00:35:02]:
and gentlemen. Which is black, and then my evening tails, which, is
Reginald Ferguson [00:35:05]:
that tails, ladies and gentlemen. He's 17.
Speaker C [00:35:08]:
Peak Lapels, Grow Grain, lapels. And I also have my vintage bespoke. It's from 1934. It's a dinner jacket. So or a text
Reginald Ferguson [00:35:20]:
Are you nervous to wear this stuff? Who are you, kid? Not at all.
Tiff [00:35:25]:
Is he alien?
Reginald Ferguson [00:35:26]:
No. No. No. He he comes from one of those time machines. You know, the doctor who thing,
Speaker C [00:35:30]:
the Tardis.
Reginald Ferguson [00:35:32]:
Very nice. Exactly. So it's funny. You you're not trying to blow up your spot. You know, you were chaperoned here today because, you know, Come from a mighty long way.
Tiff [00:35:40]:
Because he's also 17. So
Reginald Ferguson [00:35:42]:
We had that discussion, Tiffany, when I
Speaker C [00:35:44]:
was a senior in
Reginald Ferguson [00:35:45]:
high school. Yeah. My parents and grandparents loved me. I took the train anywhere I wanted to at 17.
Tiff [00:35:51]:
Yeah. But that was a long time ago, Reg, and things have changed.
Reginald Ferguson [00:35:54]:
Yeah. The trains are better. They're better constructed.
Tiff [00:35:59]:
Yeah.
Reginald Ferguson [00:35:59]:
Anyway but for me, it's a segue. You under you know, you've explained that. I always was curious about it, but I didn't give it a lot of thought Unlike my my cohost. What does your what does your family feel about all this?
Speaker C [00:36:14]:
They'd rather me didn't, especially my father.
Reginald Ferguson [00:36:17]:
Gosh. I should have waited it until he was back around.
Speaker C [00:36:21]:
Yeah.
Tiff [00:36:22]:
But why? Why? What would be the what's the trouble?
Speaker C [00:36:25]:
I guess They just don't want me looking like a freak.
Reginald Ferguson [00:36:28]:
You don't look like a freak.
Tiff [00:36:29]:
Right.
Reginald Ferguson [00:36:29]:
That's not where I'm coming from. The what's interesting is see, when she says protege, and I immediately go no. I mean, I would dive across this table if I had to to say no. It's because as we're talking about Dunks, for example. Right? So that was a sneaker of my It's a company called Nike. Have you ever heard of them?
Speaker C [00:36:48]:
Okay. Yes.
Tiff [00:36:49]:
He probably has the single pair of
Speaker C [00:36:51]:
Nike. I think so.
Tiff [00:36:53]:
You have Nikes probably. Right?
Reginald Ferguson [00:36:55]:
Maybe. No. He probably has. They're sneakers. Yeah. I
Tiff [00:36:57]:
don't even know.
Reginald Ferguson [00:36:59]:
Right. Because it's it's It's not important to him. To me, I'm not sensing I'm not sensing the balance, so that's why I'm concerned. I'm not sensing any balance at all. That's that's all I'm saying. So that's what I find interesting.
Tiff [00:37:12]:
To wear his uniform to school every day.
Speaker C [00:37:14]:
Unfortunately.
Reginald Ferguson [00:37:15]:
Yeah. I would see. You see how strong he
Tiff [00:37:18]:
is about that? Polyester, itchy, polyester. Definitely.
Reginald Ferguson [00:37:23]:
Have you ever actually tried to swap out some of these School uniform, sanction items
Speaker C [00:37:29]:
Yeah.
Reginald Ferguson [00:37:29]:
To your own. Have you succeeded?
Speaker C [00:37:32]:
Well, sometimes, very rarely, not anymore, I'd wear my dress trousers to school instead of, like, the regular chinos that you wear that you see kids wearing to school. Right. And, that passes, but that's about it.
Reginald Ferguson [00:37:48]:
So your steez is your steez. You know I like your Steve, I'm always gonna bust you on it because like I said, I'm not I'm I'm not seeing or sensing balance, and you even said your family's maybe cosigning that viewpoint as well. But this is a big year for you. You're a senior in high school. You know, it's college time. It's SATs. It's all these things. How do you see and I know which I just have to laugh because we're older than you.
Reginald Ferguson [00:38:16]:
Right? So we see things that you don't see. Like, for example, you you are you're emphatic that you don't wanna grow anymore. You may grow a half an inch. You may grow an inch. You're not finished is the point. So Where do you see your style going as you enter college?
Speaker C [00:38:33]:
Well, college is not that far away. So I I guess my style Won't change that much, but I think my style has certainly calmed down since I first started getting into vintage because
Reginald Ferguson [00:38:44]:
Calm down in what way?
Speaker C [00:38:46]:
I mean, I'm wearing more subtle pieces. I'm not as loud as I used to be.
Reginald Ferguson [00:38:52]:
Now loud as in color or loud as in assortment of I like, the the type of item? You know, what do you consider loud?
Speaker C [00:38:59]:
Color. Color.
Reginald Ferguson [00:39:00]:
Oh, okay. So you had you had
Speaker C [00:39:02]:
I had some pretty wild people.
Reginald Ferguson [00:39:03]:
Didn't know that because I didn't know I didn't know you at that stage. So so that's interesting. Sounds like growth. Yeah. That's how this works. So
Tiff [00:39:15]:
I'm looking up on Instagram right now. One thing that was very, very, like, very colorful, which is the Cornell jacket with the,
Reginald Ferguson [00:39:27]:
watching that Cornell jacket. I'm like, how about actually going to the institution before you start rocking the jacket?
Tiff [00:39:32]:
I well,
Reginald Ferguson [00:39:32]:
if they think they play you out on Insta. Yeah. But, you know, he's got that Cornell Crest. It's like,
Tiff [00:39:39]:
I remember seeing something else that I was like, wow. The kid has got color going on right here.
Speaker C [00:39:44]:
I know exactly.
Tiff [00:39:46]:
That's nice. Okay. That's that's when you use color very nicely.
Reginald Ferguson [00:39:49]:
Yeah. I like that. No. No.
Tiff [00:39:51]:
That a lot.
Reginald Ferguson [00:39:52]:
Not knocking the steez.
Tiff [00:39:52]:
The steez. See what else he's got In that oh, what a
Reginald Ferguson [00:39:56]:
No. I I'm not following his Insta as intently as you are.
Tiff [00:39:59]:
Look at the chain on his button. Is that a pocket watch?
Speaker C [00:40:02]:
No. It's just a regular chain.
Tiff [00:40:04]:
Just a chain. Okay. That was put you know, because Reg's got a thing for pocket watches.
Reginald Ferguson [00:40:09]:
I have a pocket watch.
Tiff [00:40:11]:
That's some color right there. The purple number?
Speaker C [00:40:13]:
That's the 11th doctor. That's right there. That was Halloween.
Reginald Ferguson [00:40:16]:
That Oh, okay.
Tiff [00:40:17]:
So that would be that's Oh, wow. You've got 3 buttonholes in each Yeah.
Reginald Ferguson [00:40:21]:
That's what I'm looking at.
Speaker C [00:40:22]:
That's a frock coat.
Tiff [00:40:23]:
That is a frock coat. Now did you have to have that made, or did you find that?
Speaker C [00:40:27]:
I got it from a Cosplay website back in my cosplaying days.
Tiff [00:40:32]:
Oh, very nice. It still fits me. I I like it actually. It's Of
Reginald Ferguson [00:40:38]:
course it does.
Speaker C [00:40:38]:
How about that for growth?
Reginald Ferguson [00:40:39]:
Of course it does. I know you're so happy. You're the only kid I know who doesn't wanna grow. I don't know. Every night going, I hope not to grow.
Speaker C [00:40:49]:
It's just height.
Reginald Ferguson [00:40:50]:
Wanna grow.
Speaker C [00:40:51]:
It's just height that I'm concerned about.
Tiff [00:40:54]:
This looks like the Joker right there.
Reginald Ferguson [00:40:57]:
That's a nice jacket. You're not even you're not even 6 feet.
Speaker C [00:41:00]:
No. I'm not.
Reginald Ferguson [00:41:01]:
Don't you wanna be, like, 6 feet, 6 1, 6 2?
Speaker C [00:41:05]:
My trousers are all
Reginald Ferguson [00:41:07]:
Oh, stop. Yvonne, stop. This is ridiculous. Oh my goodness. But this is to me a wonderful segue. As a result of your address, because I say steez, it goes right over this kid's head. Are you perceived generally as an older person? Yes.
Speaker C [00:41:26]:
A lot of people say I have an old soul.
Tiff [00:41:28]:
You absolutely strike me as as an old soul for sure.
Reginald Ferguson [00:41:32]:
Our producer has has shaken his head strongly, so must mean it's true. But do you like that? Do you like that you're perceived? The old to me, old soul, I like the phrase, know the phrase. I think it's cute, but I don't think that's really accurate to what I'm asking you. My point is, again, based on how you look, you're perceived as older. Or Yeah. Being an old soul, that's really different, to be honest. She let she let you slide on that. My point is you're perceived as what, generally? 5 years older then you are
Speaker C [00:42:05]:
Yeah. A lot of peep I think the oldest someone has told me I look like is 24. Okay.
Tiff [00:42:10]:
Wow.
Reginald Ferguson [00:42:10]:
Okay. And you're 17. So I said 5, So that's that's 7. Right? It's 2 more. So but, again, do you like that?
Speaker C [00:42:19]:
I mean, it does have its perks.
Reginald Ferguson [00:42:21]:
What are the perks?
Speaker C [00:42:23]:
Not the drug. People
Reginald Ferguson [00:42:26]:
Wow. That went right over my head.
Speaker C [00:42:29]:
People sort of take me more seriously. People think most teenagers are irresponsible or impulsive. And when they see me, they don't even think I'm 17, so They take me they have a bit of a higher standard for me than they do for most people my age.
Tiff [00:42:44]:
And it's because we're judging the book by its cover.
Reginald Ferguson [00:42:47]:
Well, I mean, we all I mean, we all do that. So how's it working with the ladies with this look?
Speaker C [00:42:53]:
They don't like it.
Tiff [00:42:54]:
What?
Reginald Ferguson [00:42:58]:
Wow. Do you envision this to be a ongoing problem? No.
Tiff [00:43:03]:
Does it bother you?
Speaker C [00:43:05]:
My dress?
Tiff [00:43:05]:
No. The ladies, the No. Not liking it. Alright. What matters?
Speaker C [00:43:09]:
I dress for myself, not for anyone
Reginald Ferguson [00:43:10]:
else. Boom. I like that. I respect that, but it's it's gonna be you know, I'm just curious about how long he'll be dressing for himself by himself.
Tiff [00:43:19]:
Well, he can't say that because he can't see into
Reginald Ferguson [00:43:21]:
the future. I'm older. He's a teenager. I'm allowed.
Tiff [00:43:24]:
Well, I'm saying he can't say that because he can't see into the future. Sure. He's living in the moment right now.
Reginald Ferguson [00:43:29]:
Understand. These are he's got
Tiff [00:43:30]:
a good moment, and a good future from where I sit.
Reginald Ferguson [00:43:33]:
Oh, he's got a great future, but these are legitimate questions.
Tiff [00:43:36]:
I have a question. What do you wanna be when you grow up?
Speaker C [00:43:39]:
Well, I wanted to start up my own vintage reproduction business.
Reginald Ferguson [00:43:45]:
Woah.
Tiff [00:43:45]:
Yeah. Just men's wear? Or
Speaker C [00:43:47]:
Yeah. Well, I mean yeah. I guess, men's wear and ladies wear.
Tiff [00:43:52]:
I'll be your customers, your 1st client, as soon as you get it done because I I used to be a vintage picker myself. Yeah.
Speaker C [00:43:58]:
I'll be waiting.
Tiff [00:43:59]:
Alright. I'll be I'll be keeping an eye out.
Reginald Ferguson [00:44:03]:
Kinda like what Tiff said, but we can do it. We have a gazillion more questions for you, but it can happen today.
Tiff [00:44:09]:
We do have 1 more.
Reginald Ferguson [00:44:10]:
Yes. We do.
Tiff [00:44:12]:
What does it mean to you, always be fly?
Reginald Ferguson [00:44:19]:
I guess always. Wow. We've stumped a 17 year old.
Speaker C [00:44:26]:
Always be confident both outside and inside.
Tiff [00:44:29]:
Oh, I love that.
Reginald Ferguson [00:44:30]:
Good comeback, kid, because you were a little lost in the weeds there.
Speaker C [00:44:34]:
I had to think.
Reginald Ferguson [00:44:35]:
You did.
Tiff [00:44:36]:
He's If I
Reginald Ferguson [00:44:37]:
had said it to your dad, he would have answered it immediately. But it was a good comeback.
Tiff [00:44:42]:
Yes. It was. Very nice.
Reginald Ferguson [00:44:44]:
They'll show you have a mind with you.
Tiff [00:44:45]:
And being confident, that's how he can do Rock what he's wearing and really Absolutely. No. He's not let it bother him.
Reginald Ferguson [00:44:53]:
He's gonna be fine, but there's no diversity here, and that's all I'm going to argue. When we have had many Gushens, and he already said it. I mean, his his parents and maybe the rest of the family, I only speak for his nuclear family are like, because there's no diversity here. There's no diversity. It's not just
Tiff [00:45:11]:
like talking about. He's got
Speaker C [00:45:12]:
that 22.
Reginald Ferguson [00:45:13]:
He just has this. He doesn't have he doesn't have an alternative.
Tiff [00:45:18]:
To be To be honest, right
Reginald Ferguson [00:45:19]:
It's narrow cast.
Tiff [00:45:20]:
I only see you in this.
Reginald Ferguson [00:45:22]:
Yep. We talk about how I have 13 pairs of sneakers.
Tiff [00:45:25]:
Okay. Well, you said you don't wear them all.
Reginald Ferguson [00:45:26]:
Don't wear can't wear them all. Can't wear them all at once, certainly.
Tiff [00:45:30]:
Alright.
Reginald Ferguson [00:45:32]:
Known to have a pair of dungarees. The point is this.
Tiff [00:45:36]:
One pair.
Reginald Ferguson [00:45:37]:
The the point the point is this. So you say. The the point is this. Yes. Obviously, your is your. But I think if you don't have variety and stuff. Right? So, you know, I think he's I think he's missing out.
Speaker C [00:45:52]:
I completely understand. I mean, my mom always says, Oh, all of your all of the people at school always see you in in suits and stuff, and it's not gonna be that impressive when you show up to prom in a suit.
Reginald Ferguson [00:46:04]:
I don't I don't agree with that. I don't agree with that. It's just
Tiff [00:46:07]:
I think that's profound.
Reginald Ferguson [00:46:08]:
I just think I'm just seeking the diversity. There's nothing wrong with any of this at all?
Tiff [00:46:13]:
Not at all.
Reginald Ferguson [00:46:13]:
Not at all. Is it a little extreme? Absolutely. Come on. He's 17 years old. He's got tails. Like, come on.
Tiff [00:46:21]:
You're jealous.
Reginald Ferguson [00:46:21]:
I'm not jealous.
Tiff [00:46:22]:
Oh, yeah. You are.
Reginald Ferguson [00:46:24]:
I don't knock the steez, but I'm just not I'm not seeing I'm not seeing variants. Well That's all I'm saying.
Tiff [00:46:31]:
He's got plenty of years ahead of him.
Reginald Ferguson [00:46:32]:
It's okay. I'm outnumbered. Won't be the last time. I got
Speaker C [00:46:35]:
polo shirts and shorts.
Tiff [00:46:37]:
You what?
Speaker C [00:46:38]:
I've got polo shirts and shorts.
Reginald Ferguson [00:46:39]:
Hi yuck. Hi yuck. Hi yuck.
Tiff [00:46:42]:
See? He's good. That's diversity.
Reginald Ferguson [00:46:44]:
Get out of here. You gotta you gotta test the study for or something.
Tiff [00:46:48]:
Listen. Thank you so much for coming on and and sharing your 17 year old wisdom. I'm quite impressed.
Reginald Ferguson [00:46:56]:
Thank you. I'm wah wah, but I like you. So I'm hoping to see you, obviously, numerous times. It's always a pleasure. I'm glad we finally did this, all jokes aside. Really happy that your family cosigned it.
Tiff [00:47:09]:
And And, let's give them another shout out where can they All of our listeners who are interested to see exactly what we're talking about, where can they find you on Instagram?
Speaker C [00:47:18]:
At sartorial teenager.
Tiff [00:47:21]:
Okay. Sartorial teenager. There's that word.
Reginald Ferguson [00:47:24]:
It's very accurate and appropriate.
Tiff [00:47:26]:
Yes. It is. You fit You fit the definition to a t.
Speaker C [00:47:29]:
I don't know what I'm gonna do after 18.
Reginald Ferguson [00:47:32]:
You're gonna be just fine.
Tiff [00:47:33]:
Oh, yeah. You're finally asking answering my question about what do you what do you wanna be when you Oh, no.
Reginald Ferguson [00:47:37]:
He he already said it. Okay. He's got
Speaker C [00:47:39]:
a test to study for. Instagram name.
Tiff [00:47:41]:
No. Because you're not gonna be a teen 19.
Reginald Ferguson [00:47:45]:
You'll figure that out. Adolescent. No. You'll figure it out. Yeah. But you're not gonna figure it out, this podcast. I'm gonna let you go.
Tiff [00:47:52]:
Alright. That was great.
Reginald Ferguson [00:47:54]:
Peace. Bye bye. Go study something.
Speaker C [00:47:57]:
Okay. I just took my finals, actually.
Reginald Ferguson [00:47:59]:
Good for you.
Tiff [00:48:00]:
For your finals?
Reginald Ferguson [00:48:01]:
Yeah.
Speaker C [00:48:01]:
For this semester.
Reginald Ferguson [00:48:02]:
Let this man go so we can move on, please.
Tiff [00:48:04]:
Okay. Okay. We have so many questions. We have to bring them back on.
Reginald Ferguson [00:48:07]:
We just don't have enough time.
Tiff [00:48:08]:
Alright. Moving on.
Reginald Ferguson [00:48:09]:
Study a book. That's not by Alan Flosser.
Tiff [00:48:13]:
So the next section, Reg's favorite. The next segment, I should say. Reg, what is it?
Reginald Ferguson [00:48:21]:
I must have it.
Tiff [00:48:34]:
Alright. And what we mean by this is, an item that Reg feels, that he everybody should have in their wardrobe. Reg.
Reginald Ferguson [00:48:46]:
Yeah. I agree. I'm listening to you.
Tiff [00:48:48]:
Okay. Yes. You know, I just wanna make sure. Mhmm. What is our I must have it item for today?
Reginald Ferguson [00:48:54]:
A Le Coq Sportif track jacket.
Tiff [00:48:59]:
Okay. So I paused there because
Reginald Ferguson [00:49:02]:
Yeah. Okay. What what was the problem?
Tiff [00:49:03]:

Reginald Ferguson [00:49:20]:
Anything I want. Tiff, a few months ago, I went down a terrible rabbit hole.
Tiff [00:49:27]:
Okay.
Reginald Ferguson [00:49:27]:
I started looking at things on Etsy.
Tiff [00:49:29]:
Okay.
Reginald Ferguson [00:49:30]:
Have you ever done that?
Tiff [00:49:32]:
But no.
Reginald Ferguson [00:49:33]:
It's terrible.
Tiff [00:49:33]:
Oh, wait. Now that I think about it, Etsy. I bought a little, hairpiece number for my wedding.
Reginald Ferguson [00:49:39]:
Well, there there there you go.
Tiff [00:49:41]:
Yeah. I did go on Etsy briefly.
Reginald Ferguson [00:49:43]:
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You can you you can yeah. You can do that.
Tiff [00:49:46]:
And I still have that piece, by the way. Yeah. I thought I would put it back on Etsy and sell it, but, no. Oh. No. It means something now.
Reginald Ferguson [00:49:53]:
Well, Etsy is, it's, terrible.
Tiff [00:49:58]:
Terrible for you?
Reginald Ferguson [00:49:59]:
Especially well, yeah, especially for certain types of gear. So or certain things. You it's a it's a significant niche of a marketplace.
Tiff [00:50:06]:
Yeah. Very much so.
Reginald Ferguson [00:50:07]:
Well, as you know, there's a nineties renaissance going on
Tiff [00:50:10]:
Yep.
Reginald Ferguson [00:50:12]:
On 1 Saturday morning?
Tiff [00:50:13]:
Just with sneakers.
Reginald Ferguson [00:50:14]:
No. But 1 Saturday morning, I decided to look at Fila gear. Oh. Because back in the day, I had a Fila sweater. I had contemporary, stuff too, but I wanted to see what I could find.
Tiff [00:50:28]:
Okay.
Reginald Ferguson [00:50:28]:
I did pretty well, then I did a Nike search.
Tiff [00:50:31]:
Okay.
Reginald Ferguson [00:50:32]:
I was amazed at what I could find.
Tiff [00:50:34]:
Alright.
Reginald Ferguson [00:50:35]:
The big swoosh, Just do it. I was going back in time
Tiff [00:50:40]:
and Was that all affordable there on Etsy?
Reginald Ferguson [00:50:42]:
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The stuff on Etsy, Yeah. Like,
Tiff [00:50:45]:
again like StockX. You can No. No. Nike stuff.
Reginald Ferguson [00:50:48]:
Well, yeah. It's not it's not footwear. Everything is it's, it's clothing.
Tiff [00:50:52]:
Okay.
Reginald Ferguson [00:50:53]:
So, yeah. You can you can do damage inexpensively. There's no question about that. Right. So like I said, the big swoosh, just do it. I was going back in time. I was loving it. Hours went by, and, it was in the afternoon.
Reginald Ferguson [00:51:11]:
I was scrolling through wonderful items. Remember, I started in the morning.
Tiff [00:51:14]:
It's like Facebook Facebook of clothes.
Reginald Ferguson [00:51:17]:
Well Sucks
Tiff [00:51:18]:
you in and doesn't let go.
Reginald Ferguson [00:51:19]:
Much worse.
Tiff [00:51:20]:
Oh, boy.
Reginald Ferguson [00:51:20]:
I was scrolling, and it caught me. I hadn't thought about this brand since I was a kid. Le Coq Sportif. Wow. Man, I couldn't believe it. People still have this stuff? I always was intrigued with the brand. I mean, for me, it was always on the tennis tip. I had a rooster.
Reginald Ferguson [00:51:40]:
That was the logo.
Tiff [00:51:41]:
I love the logo.
Reginald Ferguson [00:51:42]:
Yeah. It was cool. I used to hear the radio spots when I was a kid, and I thought it was exotic. I mean, I always wanted something by them, but I couldn't afford it. Wasn't really even sure where to pick it up, to really be honest. And that's why I need to cop an item. I wanna go back in the day. K.
Reginald Ferguson [00:52:00]:
Nineties track jacket. Big logo, Strong color block. I'm there. Gonna get me some Le Coq's motif. Oui oui.
Tiff [00:52:14]:
So, one big question. When are you gonna wear your little cock sportif?
Reginald Ferguson [00:52:18]:
I do not know.
Tiff [00:52:21]:
When you play rugby or soccer?
Speaker C [00:52:24]:
No. Or football?
Reginald Ferguson [00:52:26]:
When I when I am posting up.
Tiff [00:52:28]:
What is
Reginald Ferguson [00:52:29]:
At the spot. Posting spot.
Tiff [00:52:31]:
At the spot. What does that mean?
Reginald Ferguson [00:52:34]:
It means whatever I wanna do, wherever I wanna do it, The most the most activity will be bending my elbow at the bar.
Tiff [00:52:43]:
I'm about ready to say. I don't think I've ever seen you play a Sport or run.
Reginald Ferguson [00:52:48]:
I used to play sports.
Tiff [00:52:49]:
Track or any you did?
Reginald Ferguson [00:52:50]:
I used to run. Did? Yeah. I actually was on a track team. That was one of the teams I was on. Not the only team.
Tiff [00:52:55]:
Explains everything.
Reginald Ferguson [00:52:57]:
It explains why.
Tiff [00:52:58]:
That you want a track jacket now because you used to run track.
Reginald Ferguson [00:53:01]:
No. No. This a track jacket.
Tiff [00:53:04]:
You said you went you went back.
Reginald Ferguson [00:53:05]:
Yes. But a a track jacket yes. It's it's initial purpose way back in the day was for runners. Right. And with Now it's just for chilling.
Tiff [00:53:15]:
Well, let's, let's talk about way back in the day. I looked at this brand, and it's an old, Old brand. Yeah? Yeah. It goes all the way back to 18/82.
Reginald Ferguson [00:53:26]:
Woah. I did not know that.
Tiff [00:53:27]:
Yeah. They opened up a hosiery store.
Reginald Ferguson [00:53:29]:
Ah. Yes. Hosiery.
Tiff [00:53:31]:
That's how it started. And, he the man who opened up that store, Emile Camuset Or. I don't know. My French is a little rusty.
Reginald Ferguson [00:53:42]:
My French is not
Tiff [00:53:43]:
He had a passion for sports. And so, So, you know, later on, he started making clothing for his friends to, you know, to play. I think back in the day, it was, football and rugby. Jerseys. He made jerseys, and it just kinda grew from there. And, by 1920, it became the official supplier for France's professional soccer, rugby, basketball, and track and field associations. And by 1951, it was the official supplier of the cycling jerseys for the Tour De Force.
Reginald Ferguson [00:54:16]:
Tour De France?
Tiff [00:54:17]:
Tour De France. I'm sorry. I looked up at you instead of my piece of paper.
Reginald Ferguson [00:54:21]:
I've been known to be a force. Innocent mistake.
Tiff [00:54:26]:
Yes. It was. Anyway, a little bit of history there. Yeah. That's a long time. Since 18/80.
Speaker C [00:54:33]:
I did not
Reginald Ferguson [00:54:33]:
I did not know that.
Tiff [00:54:34]:
Yeah. Been around.
Reginald Ferguson [00:54:34]:
I remember it from around 82.
Tiff [00:54:36]:
But the thing the logo has also changed over the time, but the roosters always stay.
Reginald Ferguson [00:54:40]:
Lecoq Spouti.
Tiff [00:54:42]:
I just think it's a cool name.
Reginald Ferguson [00:54:44]:
It was a very interesting name to hear as a kid. Yeah. I right. And I remember I I remember seeing some of the gear. I faintly remember seeing sneakers when I was a kid. That was really about it. But I would just always hear this radio spot on 10/10 WINS.
Tiff [00:55:01]:
Oh, I love that station. That's my station.
Reginald Ferguson [00:55:04]:
So, Yeah. I probably have to make a date with Etsy.
Tiff [00:55:09]:
Well, I looked online, and it you can probably get you a nice little, Track jacket for a very reasonable price. This brand is not expensive.
Reginald Ferguson [00:55:17]:
No. But if you want the old school stuff and you're dealing with Etsy, You generally have to deal with Malaysia.
Tiff [00:55:23]:
Oh, okay.
Reginald Ferguson [00:55:25]:
All these sellers come from Malaysia
Tiff [00:55:28]:
Interesting.
Reginald Ferguson [00:55:29]:
Which means that must have been and still is where all these plants are.
Speaker C [00:55:33]:
Oh, and this is It's crazy.
Tiff [00:55:35]:
This is the old Gold
Reginald Ferguson [00:55:36]:
The Old School. Yes. The Old School. Yes. The Old School.
Tiff [00:55:39]:
Alright. I'm I
Speaker C [00:55:40]:
was talking about the new stuff.
Reginald Ferguson [00:55:42]:
No. New stuff. Need that old nineties feel. Well Come on, Etsy. Let's take a dance. Got some money in my pocket.
Tiff [00:55:55]:
You're showing your age now, Reg.
Reginald Ferguson [00:55:57]:
That's fine. Heck. I showed it when we had the kid on.
Tiff [00:56:00]:
Alright. Moving on. We're gonna go to the next section, which is one of my favorites because I am a winner. Fashion word of the day.
Reginald Ferguson [00:56:16]:
Fashion Word of the day. Oh, yeah.
Tiff [00:56:24]:
Alright. Fashion word of the day was is when both Reg and I bring a word to Challenge each other with spelling, defining, and using in a sentence if we if we get it right for spelling and defining.
Reginald Ferguson [00:56:33]:
Yep.
Tiff [00:56:34]:
So, Reg, You've let me go first several times. So I'm gonna let you go first. What is your fashion word for
Reginald Ferguson [00:56:40]:
me? Darts.
Tiff [00:56:41]:
Say that again.
Reginald Ferguson [00:56:42]:
Darts.
Tiff [00:56:44]:
Darts. Alright. I would say d a r t
Reginald Ferguson [00:56:49]:
s. Is
Tiff [00:56:50]:
that it? Darts. Might Well, I know exactly what darts are.
Reginald Ferguson [00:56:55]:
You do. So I'm like, come on. I've see me for 2020.
Tiff [00:56:58]:
I've sewn quite a few darts in my life. Darts are a way to take in fabric, by sewing along you know, creating a triangle on the inside of the fabric, to take in a waist or take in the back of a jacket to create shape.
Reginald Ferguson [00:57:17]:
Ping. Yay. Sentence?
Tiff [00:57:28]:
When I design my patterns, I sometimes forget to put my darts in.
Reginald Ferguson [00:57:34]:
Yikes. Whoopsie.
Tiff [00:57:38]:
That would be a big mistake too because when you when you're doing patterning, You really have to put the darts in because it requires more fabric. And it also you know, you have to go outside the sew line For the dart to fit inside the sew line. It's a visual. But, yeah, I have actually forgotten darts before and, yeah, It's you gotta start all over.
Reginald Ferguson [00:57:59]:
Yikes.
Tiff [00:58:00]:
Yep. Anyway, are you ready? Sure. Alright. My word is going to be quite, Challenging or
Reginald Ferguson [00:58:07]:
Oh, great.
Tiff [00:58:08]:
Or you're gonna know it. I mean, really know it.
Reginald Ferguson [00:58:12]:
One or the other.
Tiff [00:58:13]:
Alright. My word for you, modal.
Reginald Ferguson [00:58:19]:
Say what?
Tiff [00:58:20]:
Modal. Modal. Modal.
Reginald Ferguson [00:58:24]:
Oh, m o d a l. What
Tiff [00:58:26]:
is it?
Reginald Ferguson [00:58:26]:
I don't know. Hey. I'm good with phonics. I know how to spell.
Tiff [00:58:32]:
Alright. So do you get a little, buzzer?
Reginald Ferguson [00:58:35]:
Oh, heck yeah.
Speaker C [00:58:37]:
20. It is a
Tiff [00:58:39]:
it's a fabric. It's a fiber made by spinning Oh. Cellulose. Crap. Beech tree.
Reginald Ferguson [00:58:45]:
I didn't really I didn't really yeah. I didn't really know it though, but Yeah. Vaguely. Yeah. When you said oh. But I didn't really know it. I I never would've gotten it. Oh.
Reginald Ferguson [00:58:54]:
Correct.
Tiff [00:58:55]:
Textiles made from modal or modal have soft, smooth surfaces, Are water absorbent and resistant to shrinkage and fading. Isn't that amazing?
Reginald Ferguson [00:59:05]:
It is. And I had no clue.
Tiff [00:59:07]:
It has a nice little drape too. But, you got to get to, you know, it's not for everyone.
Reginald Ferguson [00:59:13]:
Yeah. Like me.
