How It Happened: When I decided to launch the business, I did it with a fashion show at my job with the help of my co-worker Roxanne Hauldren (formerly of "Shop With Rox") who was an incredible mentor to me at the time. She secured the majority of the vendors along with a liquor sponsor (Hendricks). I convinced my co-workers to be models. I created a runway in our office and set up a hot playlist for the show. I even brought my Aunt down from The Bronx to see what her nephew was up to. The show, and the launch of the brand, was a success.
