We have to talk you haven't talked about being fly in a while. Reginald Ferguson [00:00:25]: Well, Well, that's because we haven't done this in a while, so feel free to to chime in on the Steeves. Tiff [00:00:31]: Well, I I mean, I'm glad you, you brought that up because you are looking rather nice. And pop. You got the you got the game going on right now. Most most importantly, that pocket square. Oh. The w. How amazing is that? Reginald Ferguson [00:00:45]: Well, thank you very much. So that means we should take a photo after. It has to be a magazine quality photo. Put my boy, Tim Becker, Tim Empire. Game. Yeah. Sure. My Instagram has to be improved, but the point is the w Oh, that's right. Reginald Ferguson [00:01:01]: You got a new phone. Tiff [00:01:02]: New phone? Oh. Camera? Reginald Ferguson [00:01:03]: Oh my god. Please. I got a old phone with a old camera. But there is a w emblazoned on my pocket square, and the w is for my late grandfather. My late grandfather's name was Walter, Walter Sims with one m. He was a great influence on my life Just in how to be a man, but equally as important, how to be fashionable as a man. So and that went beyond clothing, everybody. So big shout out to my grandpa. Reginald Ferguson [00:01:36]: I need no more pocket squares. Kent Wang knows that. Big shout out to Kent Wang. I really appreciate that you listened to that podcast episode. Tiff [00:01:46]: And thank you for sharing the Kent Wang with me. Man, some beautiful stuff. Reginald Ferguson [00:01:50]: Absolutely. Oh. Oh, I could buy Tiff [00:01:52]: something more. Square with the with the, the art, the, it would it was mind blowing. It's like, I wanna fold that up and put it in my pocket because you know. You don't get to see the artwork. Reginald Ferguson [00:02:03]: That's how I feel. Yeah. Tiff [00:02:04]: I know that. You wanna, like, And pop. Safety pin it and let the whole thing hang out. Reginald Ferguson [00:02:08]: I Well, that's Tiff [00:02:08]: what I Kidding. Kidding. Reginald Ferguson [00:02:10]: That's what I did in a way with my Horace. I'm sure they roll their eyes, but Tiff [00:02:14]: And pop. Whatever. This is just You gotta show it. Reginald Ferguson [00:02:16]: Yeah. Tiff [00:02:17]: So very so he he's basically the grandfather of the fashion geeks. Can I call him grandpa too? Sure. Alright. Reginald Ferguson [00:02:25]: Oh, he would love that. Tiff [00:02:28]: I'm fashion geek number 2. Reginald Ferguson [00:02:30]: I'm number 1. Tiff [00:02:31]: I'm Tiffany, and this is Reg. Reginald Ferguson [00:02:33]: Happy to be here. Tiff [00:02:34]: Yes, we are. Thanks for joining. So, let's start off by talking about, a little thing that you sent me. So Reg likes to send me, Everything. Reginald Ferguson [00:02:45]: Messages. That's relevant. Tiff [00:02:46]: Oh my god. Half the time, I'll be in the middle of work and, well, not anymore because I yeah. I'm not working. But it's like my phone is going. I'm like, oh, what is going on? It's like Instagram messages, emails, text messages, and it's all links to things that he thinks I need to see. And to be honest, they're pretty much everything I need to see except for except for maybe this one. This email that he sent me was for something called the Shoe Inn warehouse sale. Now I know this is a this is a menswear podcast. Tiff [00:03:17]: I get it. I get it. But thank you for taking care of me, your friend. Reginald Ferguson [00:03:20]: Of course. Tiff [00:03:21]: This is a warehouse sale for shoes for ladies. Reginald Ferguson [00:03:25]: Yep. Tiff [00:03:25]: And when I say warehouse, Imposs. I looked it up online. It is ridiculous. It is a warehouse. It's located on 260 Madison Avenue, the corner of 39th Street and Madison Avenue, and it's every day until this Saturday, May 18th, which is gonna be done by the time this podcast airs is gonna be over. Reginald Ferguson [00:03:46]: Yeah. Yeah. Tiff [00:03:47]: But they do it every year. So you know for next year. 6 days only, 10,000 shoes, boots, and booties plus accessories in one building. And this stuff is marked down 60, 70% off. 70%. It's it reminds me I did once go to the Barneys shoe warehouse sale many, many years ago, and I left with, like, 10 pairs of shoes for maybe a couple $100, which is Reginald Ferguson [00:04:11]: I smell a deal. Tiff [00:04:12]: Ridiculous. So, yes, And pop. I have to tell you. Thank you. Reginald Ferguson [00:04:16]: I know welcome. Tiff [00:04:17]: I know what I might be doing on Saturday. Reginald Ferguson [00:04:20]: Get ready, Michael. You hear that? Tiff [00:04:22]: Yeah. Because I don't have a job. Somebody's gotta work some overtime. Reginald Ferguson [00:04:25]: Of your debit card going down. Tiff [00:04:29]: So, yeah. That's Imposs. Interesting with me now. I know we'd like to catch up at the beginning of these episodes. You also sent me a couple of other links, for shoes, because this is I call this the shoe sewed. Reginald Ferguson [00:04:43]: Is it Tiff [00:04:43]: shoe episode? It's the shoe sewed. Reginald Ferguson [00:04:46]: Oh, not the episode of Shoes, but the shoes sewed. Tiff [00:04:49]: Because, you know, I gotta be jazzy. Reginald Ferguson [00:04:50]: That's Yeah. Interesting. Tiff [00:04:52]: Yeah. Exactly. So, you sent me 2 other links. Reginald Ferguson [00:04:56]: I'm about the Shoopasode. Yeah? Tiff [00:04:58]: The Shoopasode. I don't Reginald Ferguson [00:04:59]: Not so good. Tiff [00:05:00]: That might be good. I mean, if you're gonna do a song, that's better. It's more a it's got it's got a couple more syllables in there. But, there are couple of things that are happening. Well, one thing that's happening and another thing that's like, what? I didn't even know it existed. So you you sent me a link to an article about Converse. Reginald Ferguson [00:05:18]: Yes. Converse. Tiff [00:05:20]: Converse celebrating the 50th anniversary of Pride Reginald Ferguson [00:05:24]: Yeah. Tiff [00:05:24]: With their new collection. So every year, they celebrate pride with a new collection, based on their And pop. There, there's 2 shoes. The the the Khan 7 or 7 am I am I speaking? Reginald Ferguson [00:05:39]: I'm not sure about the models. I just Tiff [00:05:41]: And pop. There's 2 classic models that they each year riff on. Reginald Ferguson [00:05:45]: With Chuck's. Tiff [00:05:46]: Chuck Taylor and Chuck's 70. As I had to I had to get to my reference material. But, it's something that they do every year, and you and I had no idea. I I think this is amazing. Reginald Ferguson [00:05:57]: It is amazing, but Here's one point of observation and criticism. All the proceeds that go to those specific Sneakers. And what's really cool is if you look at the bottom of the kicks, it represents yeah. It represents the rainbow, the color the color of the flag. Nothing going to LGBTQ groups. Tiff [00:06:26]: I thought, that's not what I read. That's not Did I read it incorrectly? Reginald Ferguson [00:06:31]: I'm not saying you read it incorrectly, but I heard that there are I read rather that proceeds were not going to any groups or organizations per se. Tiff [00:06:42]: Contributions are supporting long standing local and global LGBTQ plus partners, including It Gets Better Project, out MetroWest and Fenway Health. Reginald Ferguson [00:06:52]: So I guess I played myself because when I was reading stuff at the time, it seemed like It wasn't. Maybe they always had it in play. That's the be that's the beauty of reading. Tiff [00:07:01]: Or maybe they didn't, and what you read was something that was Reginald Ferguson [00:07:04]: Or maybe I didn't read thoroughly enough, so I can acknowledge Right. Tiff [00:07:08]: That's what I was thought was outstanding about this is that the proceeds they're they've got a line of shoes, and they are absolutely donating. So they're not only just designing the shoes to reflect the individual individuality of this community, but they're also taking proceeds and putting it back into the community, which I thought was great When I read about this. Reginald Ferguson [00:07:32]: I'm glad to hear this. So because I was totally unaware from from the sources of reading I had. Tiff [00:07:39]: So what they the the This year, this is their introduced their 1st ever sneakers inspired by the trans flag. Reginald Ferguson [00:07:47]: Yes. Tiff [00:07:47]: So that's what makes it Impop. Interesting about this year. And the collection aims to pay respect to the rebels and the heroes who continue to pave the way and to celebrate Who we all are as individuals. Reginald Ferguson [00:08:01]: And they're not the only brand that's doing this. Like, for example, Todd Snyder is doing something. Okay. I'm sure there are a stack of other brands. That's the only one Off the top of my head that I can think of. I know Billy Porter's, like, part of his catalog Okay. For this specifically, Jenna Lyons, a few other people. So fashion can be altruism. Reginald Ferguson [00:08:22]: So I like this. I mean, we talked about that with, And pop the Pierre Morris brand. So Tiff [00:08:27]: And it's amazing because it's another big brand that is, really spotlighting spotlighting diversity and inclusivity, which which we're about here. But one thing I wanted to mention based on celebrating creating who we all are as individuals, you know, paying respect to the rebels and the heroes. I think back on, growing up, Everybody I knew who wore Converse's. Now I grew up in the eighties. That was the Reebok era for me. Sure. And for you, it was, It Reginald Ferguson [00:08:59]: was really Nike. Nike and Adidas. Tiff [00:09:00]: Yeah. So where was Converse? Converse was on those rebels, Those few people who dared to be different because, you know, it was about for my me, it was all about, you know, the the aerobics and the and the Reeboks And the Olivia Newton John, let's get physical kinda thing. And you come in, you got all these bouncy, bouncy. And pop. You the shoe itself looks like a balloon around your feet, and then you've got Reginald Ferguson [00:09:28]: these Converse. Tiff [00:09:28]: The structure of the Converse is pretty you know, it's a flat tennis shoes, sneaker. We call them tennis shoes in the south. And, you know, with a high top, and that's that's what it was. It wasn't much to it. And pop. And it was the rebels and and and the eventual heroes that did wear it because they dared to be different. And I think that's that's that's sort of Converse sort of continuing its thing in a way, as far as the way I see it. Reginald Ferguson [00:09:55]: I think Converse created that ethos, Let's say at least 10 years ago about rebel through music. Yeah. That's really the official sneaker of music. But Let's not let's not ignore the weapons, meaning NBA NBA sneakers For Converse, meaning magic bird. So that that can't be ignored. And I'm I was really touched a few years ago. Good friend of mine got me some old school, new school suede Converse. Oh. Reginald Ferguson [00:10:34]: Yeah. They did a Tiff [00:10:35]: Now that's a that's a shoe. Reginald Ferguson [00:10:36]: Yeah. They did a special batch. So it was, like, seventies version, but suede joints, high tops. I love them. I don't wear them a lot because rumor has I don't even wear sneakers. But Tiff [00:10:49]: I've seen them. Reginald Ferguson [00:10:50]: But I love them. I love them to death. And they're on my Insta if you scroll before I curate and purge because the rumor has it, My insert needs a old Tiff [00:11:00]: So get a look now. Well, that's interesting that you should say that because, yeah, you know me and people who've been listening to us on a regular I'm not necessarily a sneakerhead, and I don't necessarily I mean, you're an appreciator of good sneakers, but I wouldn't classify you as a sneakerhead. No. Reginald Ferguson [00:11:15]: I'm not. Tiff [00:11:15]: You don't have a room dedicated to sneakers on the wall. No. No. I'm not that and but I have to say Impop. I have to say that some of the like, you mentioned the suede. That's nice. I like it. I like it when And pop. Tiff [00:11:29]: When when a sneaker is something other than a sneaker. When it's a when it levels up, shall we say. And that I guess that's a good segue into the next article. Whoo. I'm segue queen over here. Reginald Ferguson [00:11:43]: This is a level up, up, up. Tiff [00:11:46]: And pop. I have to say, when you sent me this link, I was like, what is this? Shoe surgeon? Yeah. Sue Shoe Reginald Ferguson [00:11:54]: Surgeon .com? Tiff [00:11:55]: So you sent me a link to a pair of sneakers, called black CDG Air Jordan 3 Tinker. Reginald Ferguson [00:12:03]: Yep. Tiff [00:12:03]: Right? Reginald Ferguson [00:12:04]: Tinker Hatfield. Tiff [00:12:04]: And I was like, oh, what is that? And I look at the shoe, and I I'm I'm looking at this little teeny tiny picture of the shoe on the on the the website, the shoe surgeon .com, and I'm like, oh, that's a sneaker. And I look over to the right. $2,500. What? Reginald Ferguson [00:12:20]: A mere bag of shells. Tiff [00:12:24]: I was, I was like, And pop. What? And I immediately got on my device, whatever I'm using, not a laptop because I'm my Laptop is Reginald Ferguson [00:12:34]: situation. Tiff [00:12:35]: It has a situation. It's out of commission. And, I was like, what? Who would pay $2,500 for a pair of sneakers? What what's going on here? And I had a moment to sit down, and I'm like, I'm gonna explore this website and see what's going on. And the shoot surgeon .com is a person. Well, it's actually a collaborative team of creatives in LA. And what they do is they custom make sneakers. And they either take something and repurpose it. Like, they'll go find you a a hard to get pair of sneakers, and then they'll design it to your exact specifications. Tiff [00:13:09]: And pop. Or they can make something from the bottom up, or they can change a soul off of a pair of sneakers and make it an make a different kind of soul. Whatever you want at a price, apparently. And that's that's where the $2,500 comes in for these, Jordan, sneakers. So I I was like, okay. That's interesting. And I ran a little bit further. And this the dude who who started all of this, Impop. Tiff [00:13:37]: The shoe surgeon himself. I I don't I can't find his name. Amazing. Dominic. Reginald Ferguson [00:13:45]: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Tiff [00:13:47]: Impop. Amaze. Oh, yeah. Founded by Dominic. Yeah. How do you say his last name? Reginald Ferguson [00:13:51]: Ciambrone. Tiff [00:13:52]: Sema another Italian. I can't say the Italian name. Ciambrone. The guy what the guy does with the pair of sneakers is a piece of art. Reginald Ferguson [00:14:00]: It's amazing. Tiff [00:14:01]: You go on the website. And And so I started ex first of all, I was like, what is Surgeon Studios? And it you know, that's when you got the description about its creatives who work together on what you want, and they source And pop. They need, and they create what you want. And it's right on the money most of the time. But they also create stuff that you can shop, or you can go to custom, Or you can go to if you click on the link partnerships, which was the most astounding thing. Reginald Ferguson [00:14:26]: Collabos. Tiff [00:14:27]: Yes. Oh my god. There is a pair. The very first collaboration that you see is LeBron 30 k point milestone. It's, his collab the shoe surgeon's collaboration along with LeBron. Reginald Ferguson [00:14:44]: Now what's the 30 k Nike. What's the 30 k represent? Tiff [00:14:47]: I don't know. But it's on the back of that sneaker encrusted in diamonds. What? Yes. Imposs. You have to see this pair Reginald Ferguson [00:14:55]: of sneakers. I just I was for a fact. Tiff [00:14:58]: I don't know what it doesn't say what the 30 k is about. I guess you have to know. You know? But it's When Reginald Ferguson [00:15:04]: he had 30 k followers back in the day. Tiff [00:15:06]: I don't know. But it's a high top, crocodile leather that Poop. That is gold or brass. I don't even know what the color is, and it's there's diamonds all over the shoe. It's a hundred $1,000 diamond and gold, Lebron fifteen. It's a shoe, a sneaker for $100,000. Reginald Ferguson [00:15:26]: I cannot believe that. Tiff [00:15:27]: And it's beautiful. Reginald Ferguson [00:15:28]: It is. Tiff [00:15:29]: It's got little metal caps on the shoelaces. It it's it's it dude, you have to look at this sneaker. Reginald Ferguson [00:15:37]: Our producer search is gazing. Tiff [00:15:40]: But what I wanna Reginald Ferguson [00:15:42]: It's nodding in affirmation. Tiff [00:15:44]: What I wanna Comment about this is Reginald Ferguson [00:15:48]: Save up for Kwanzaa search, and you too, May. Tiff [00:15:50]: I continue to look and, the DJ Khaled. Is that how you say that? Reginald Ferguson [00:15:56]: Khaled. Khaled? Holy cow. Khaled. Tiff [00:15:59]: I really like those as well. And then they've got a collaboration with Jack Daniels. Dude, those I would wear. I would wear these sneakers. Reginald Ferguson [00:16:07]: Yeah. Those are cool. Tiff [00:16:08]: Who would know? And pop. I would never have done this. So I wanna thank you for opening my eyes and expanding my horizons and helping me to level up in my sneaker game. Reginald Ferguson [00:16:18]: Woah. I can't wait till you get those Jack D's. So, Michael, you better start doing some extra shifts. Tiff [00:16:26]: Imposs. I think there might be a little bit out of my price point. Reginald Ferguson [00:16:30]: Man, bag of shits. Tiff [00:16:34]: But I, I just wanted to to bring that up. I wanna discuss that because you guys need to check it out. It's the shoe surgeon .com. You gotta see what this guy does. This guy and his team. They're amazing, and the collaborations are off the hook. Reginald Ferguson [00:16:46]: Absolutely. Now if you don't have that money, That leads you to our new segment. That means you're a fashion fool. Fashion fools. No. Really? If you don't have the money to do it Tiff [00:17:05]: Then you're a fool. Reginald Ferguson [00:17:07]: Right. Tiff [00:17:07]: Okay. Reginald Ferguson [00:17:08]: Yeah. Tiff [00:17:08]: Alright. Reginald Ferguson [00:17:09]: Because maybe, you know, you don't wanna anyway. Tiff [00:17:12]: I'm not a fool because I don't have the money. Reginald Ferguson [00:17:13]: No. I know. But, you know, let's Say you're like, man, I got $1,000, and you only had 200. Tiff [00:17:18]: Oh, okay. Reginald Ferguson [00:17:19]: Fronting. Tiff [00:17:20]: I get it. Oh, that that's fashion fronting. Oh. Oh. That was Reginald Ferguson [00:17:25]: pretty clever, Tiff. But, anyway, moving on. Tiff [00:17:29]: Let's do it. Reginald Ferguson [00:17:30]: It's a new one. People who purchase jeans with holes already in them. What? What? I hate it. Tiff [00:17:40]: You're telling me they're paying money for a piece of fabric that's sewn together with holes in it. Now I know that sounded ridiculous, and, of course, people are doing that. And, of course, it's been happening for a long time, but, that you you're right. There must be a discussion about this. Good. I think you and I might be on the same side of this. Reginald Ferguson [00:18:00]: Oh my gosh. Yeah. Well, a surprise. Rumor has it that I don't have any jeans. Tiff [00:18:07]: What? Reginald Ferguson [00:18:08]: Dungarees. Tiff [00:18:08]: Oh. Reginald Ferguson [00:18:10]: That may or may not be true, but it doesn't mean I don't have an opinion about wearing them, Especially as I'm talking with you wearing a suit. The trend of wearing holes with jeans must stop. Stop, I say. It's ridiculous. Tiff [00:18:26]: Where did it begin? I mean, how did something like this begin? I don't know. Reginald Ferguson [00:18:29]: It's not a good look. Holes should naturally occur. Tiff [00:18:33]: Right. When time. That looks good when that happens. Reginald Ferguson [00:18:35]: Right. Because you didn't work in them. You dug a ditch, or you just lived life. Someone plucking down money to have a brand put holes in their jeans ahead of time is ridiculous. Tiff [00:18:45]: Right? Reginald Ferguson [00:18:47]: It fast forwards the time spent in which Denim might, and I mean, might wear out. Did you know Levi's is cutting holes in their denim with lasers? Tiff [00:18:58]: Because their shit doesn't lay does not wear a lot. Unbelievable. Reginald Ferguson [00:19:03]: This is the brand that started it all. They made dungarees for workers, Prospectors during the gold rush prided itself on the strength and durability of its garments, and now they're cutting holes. Tiff [00:19:14]: Now they're making it look like It's worn out. Reginald Ferguson [00:19:17]: Ridiculous. I well understand that things change. In previous episodes, I have said the words my late grandfather, One of my fashion icons. One of the only things constant has changed. On the episode we do know Levi's, it's clear that a work item became a fashion item. Tiff [00:19:36]: Yep. That's exactly how that happened. Reginald Ferguson [00:19:38]: I'm more for someone deciding to DIY holes If they desire. Tiff [00:19:44]: Alright. Go outside and run them over with your car, scrape them up with your wire brush. That's how you used to do it in the old days. Reginald Ferguson [00:19:51]: Especially if a woman wants to do it for height and effect, you know, because that could be sexy. But when my buddy Phil Tiff [00:19:59]: Depending on where the hole is. Reginald Ferguson [00:20:00]: Well, there you go. When my buddy Phil big shout out to Phil. You know who you are. He's down at Arkansas now. Phil Case. When my buddy Phil came to an event with jeans ripped from upper thigh to ankle, the only thing I could say was, man, you have a serious mouth problem. Tiff [00:20:21]: That's a bit much. Upper thigh to ankle. Reginald Ferguson [00:20:25]: It was crazy. You know what I'm talking about, Phil. Tiff [00:20:29]: Unbelievable. Ugh. I, I can listen. I Reginald Ferguson [00:20:34]: I don't understand. Tiff [00:20:35]: When when it started, I don't know. I I maybe maybe in the youth. Everything starts with the youth. Reginald Ferguson [00:20:41]: Remember when you were a little kid, Speaking of that, you got a little hole. Hole? And you know what and you know what my grandma did? She put a patch. Tiff [00:20:48]: Yeah. Reginald Ferguson [00:20:49]: Or maybe Rock the hole for a while or shorts. Right. Tiff [00:20:51]: Or if Reginald Ferguson [00:20:52]: you had serious holes, she'd cut the pants in the shorts. Tiff [00:20:54]: So what is it? The generation now doesn't know how to sew, so they can't put patches in the hole. Reginald Ferguson [00:20:58]: Is a generational thing I well well understand, but it's not so it's not altogether a generational thing because grown ass people are doing this too. Tiff [00:21:05]: Right. And they're spending a a lot of money. Like, the the more holes you have in your jeans, the more money it's gonna cost you. Reginald Ferguson [00:21:13]: But it's got frayed, the threads. I'm just like, come on. Your effort looks crazy. Tiff [00:21:18]: Yeah. Yeah. I agree. Reginald Ferguson [00:21:20]: I'm like understand. Tiff [00:21:21]: I'm like, I'm not gonna spend money on a piece fabric that that's not even halfway there. I don't Right. I can't my practical mindedness Cannot do that. As you can see, my jeans do not have holes in them. Reginald Ferguson [00:21:34]: There you go. Tiff [00:21:35]: Although I do I have one little fray. One little fry. Reginald Ferguson [00:21:39]: She's very small. Tiff [00:21:40]: That's it. And I you know what? I left it there. I'm not cutting that off because that's character. So maybe people want a lot of character, So they wear a lot of hats. Reginald Ferguson [00:21:48]: I understand that, but this is the same crew that's buying trucker caps Or even just sports caps that the bill's already worn. Tiff [00:21:57]: But then there's also the same put the time in. Yeah. They're doing they're also Reginald Ferguson [00:22:02]: They're fast forwarding. And pop. Tiff [00:22:03]: And they're also do well, the trucker cap that's already been worn. Yeah. I guess you're right then. Reginald Ferguson [00:22:07]: Yeah. I mean, or just a just a any type of snapback. And now you have that, It's come on. The frayed the frayed. Tiff [00:22:16]: I have to admit, you and I sound like a bunch of old fogies sitting here talking about Reginald Ferguson [00:22:19]: I understand I understand how it's being See. Tiff [00:22:21]: Because pretty much everybody's got holes in their jeans. Reginald Ferguson [00:22:24]: I want. Tiff [00:22:26]: I'm looking at our producer over here. Reginald Ferguson [00:22:28]: I know. We're about to put him on the grill. Producer search, do you have any jeans with holes in them? Yes. But Exactly. Tiff [00:22:45]: You earned those holes. That's pop up for me. Because then you get a story. You walk around with holy jeans. They're comfortable. You want a pair you want a story. It's like, oh, yo. How'd you get that whole? I must have it. Tiff [00:23:15]: Alright. This is the next segment of our show. This is your favorite, I think. Reginald Ferguson [00:23:21]: I like it. Tiff [00:23:22]: So, Reg, what is our I must have it item of today? Wow. Reginald Ferguson [00:23:29]: It is the Auris Divers 65 Honey, collabo with the rake. Tiff [00:23:35]: And pop. It's a watch. Tiff [00:24:06]: Okay. So just for those out there not in the know like me, this is a watch, And this is a go ahead. Go ahead. I I defer to you. Reginald Ferguson [00:24:13]: It's beautiful. I love the color. It literally just lures you in. The indices act as a reflection based on the face, the color. It's like the face of the sun. Tiff [00:24:28]: Those are gold leaf, by Reginald Ferguson [00:24:30]: the way. It's I did not know that. Yep. It's truly distinct. I like watches, and I certainly don't consider myself an expert. The and and this Less than 3 years. Yeah. This is a bargain at what's was it $1600? Is that what I Yeah. Reginald Ferguson [00:24:54]: It's under 2. I love this collabo, and I really have to give the right props. I mean, I'm I'm constantly giving the right props throughout podcast, and I'd love if we're lucky one day to get them on. Tiff [00:25:07]: And the the The Rake is an online sort of magazine Reginald Ferguson [00:25:12]: Oh, Oh, Tiff [00:25:13]: it's a hard copy. No. Reginald Ferguson [00:25:13]: No. It's a hard copy. Tiff [00:25:15]: Oh, okay. Reginald Ferguson [00:25:15]: I get the I get the subscription 6 times a year. Tiff [00:25:18]: But you can also get it online, and it's a it's a magazine. It's in it's a magazine that Reginald Ferguson [00:25:22]: Beautiful magazine. No. The paper. The quality of the paper. I gotta give it to you guys. Props. It's It's a it's a serious mag. I love it. Reginald Ferguson [00:25:31]: And again, I just love magazines, but it's I love when it comes In my mailbox. But, again, I have to really give them props. I mean, just the whole backstory about how this happened between them and Auris. And I wanna give Auris a special shout out too because they're called Brashear Diver. Tiff [00:25:52]: Yes. I'm glad you brought that up. Reginald Ferguson [00:25:54]: Oh, I'm I am glad and impressed that you know, but you're the research bee. Yeah. So mister Brashear was the 1st African American navy master diver, everybody. That watch has sold out. It goes for around 5 g's. Tiff [00:26:10]: And he wasn't just only, just a diver. He lost his leg. Reginald Ferguson [00:26:15]: Yes. Tiff [00:26:15]: Yes. In a diving, reconnaissance mission. Yeah. And he continued to dive, And pop. And he continued to win medals with his diving with just, like, one well, he he got No. He He lost half of his other leg. Reginald Ferguson [00:26:28]: Yes. Yes. Man of honor. Insane. Yes. Did you ever see that movie? Tiff [00:26:32]: I did not. Reginald Ferguson [00:26:33]: Oh, so good. Man of honor. Tiff [00:26:36]: So this gentleman And pop. I could watch that movie again. Oh, so good. Tiff [00:26:55]: Alright. Yeah. I will met I definitely watch it. Reginald Ferguson [00:26:57]: Yeah. Yeah. True story. So much props to them. Tiff [00:27:02]: But this watch is absolutely beautiful, and it comes with with, 4 different straps. It comes with a Reginald Ferguson [00:27:08]: Yes. Tiff [00:27:08]: The, the leather strap that's beautifully hand stitched around where it loops into I guess that's called the bezel, the And pop. The part of it. But it comes it also comes with 3 other what kind of straps do they call those? Reginald Ferguson [00:27:21]: You have a NATO strap for it. Tiff [00:27:23]: Yeah. Three different kinds of NATO straps, and that's what you would actually use in diving. You wouldn't dive with the leather strap on. But I wouldn't dive with this watch at all. I mean It Reginald Ferguson [00:27:32]: goes a 100 meters. Tiff [00:27:33]: It does. So that means that's further than anybody's ever dived before, and and it's gonna be waterproof up in up into that. And pop. But it is kinda like you it's so pretty. I don't I wouldn't wanna do that. So it could be man, or it could be woman. It could worn be worn by anyone. Reginald Ferguson [00:28:08]: I did not know that, But I'm a man, so one size fits all. Tiff [00:28:12]: Right? Moving on.
